Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, altı şapkalı düşünme tekniği' nin ilköğretim altıncı sınıf öğrencilerinin sosyal bilgiler dersindeki akademik başarısına etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın evreni, Elazığ ili İlköğretim altıncı sınıf öğrencileri, örneklemini ise, 2003-2004 eğitim-öğretim yılı Elazığ ili Bahçelievler ilköğretim okulu altıncı sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmaya toplam 50 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırma“öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu”desene uygun olarak planlanmıştır. Deney grubuna Altı Şapkalı Düşünme Tekniği ile hazırlanmış günlük planlar verilerek dersler bu tekniğe uygun olarak işlenmiş, kontrol grubu ise geleneksel yöntemi uygulamıştır. Araştırma verileri, başarı testi ve görüşme soruları ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgularda Altı Şapkalı Düşünme Tekniğinin geleneksel yöntemlere göre öğrenci başarısını daha çok arttırdığı sonucunu ortaya çıkmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre önerilerden birisi şöyledir. Araştırma ilköğretim altıncı sınıf öğrencileri üzerinde yapılmış ve bu düzeydeki öğrencilerde özellikle beyaz şapkanın takılması konusunda öğrenciler ısrarlı davranmışlardır. Bu durumun ezber eğitimden kaynaklandığı bilinmektedir Bu sebeple Düşünme becerilerini kazandırma anasınıfı seviyesinde başlatılabilir. Bu çağda kazandırılmaya başlanan beceriler bireyde düşünmeyi ve düşünerek hareket etmeyi hayat felsefesi haline dönüştürebilir.

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the six-hat-thinking technic on the academic success of the social studies course of sixth year pupils. The targets of the research are pupils of the sixth class of the Bahcelievler elementary education school in Elazig. The study year is 2003-2004. 50 pupils were involved to this research. The research was proper planned due to“groups pre-test - post-test control”. Daily plans which were prepared with the six-hat-thinking technic were given to the experimental group, and their lessons were conducted according to this technic. The traditional method was conducted by the control group. The results were revealed through tests and interviews. The results showed that the six-hat-thinking technic caused the pupils to be more succesful than the pupils who had lessons proper to the traditional methods. One of the recommendations according to the results ; The pupils of the sixth class were subject to this research, and the pupils on this level strived to wear the white hat. It's known that this is caused by the memorization education. For this reason, obtaining the thinking skills must start at the nurseryschool. If the child obtains the skill to act proper to his impulses, thinking and acting according his thoughts can be his walk of life. Keywords : the six thinking hats technic, success, thinking.
