Özet
ÖZET“Antandros Urneleri”adı altında yapmış olduğumuz bu çalışma, 2001-2004 yıllan arasında Antandros' da ortaya çıkarılan 34 adet urne mezarı kapsamaktadır. Urnelerin formları, kontkestleri ve buluntu durumları göz önüne alınarak 34 urnenin, 18 Arkaik, 1 Klasik ve 15 adet Hellenistik döneme ait olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna göre Arkaik dönem Antandros urneleri, amphoraİar, khytralar ve biç bir gruba dahil edilemeyen kaplar olarak, üç başlık altoda değerlendirilmiştir. Bunlardan amphora urneler kendi içerisinde boyundan omuza, omuzdan ve karından kulplu olarak üçe ayrılırken, omuzdan kulplu amphoralar da düz dipli ve halka kaideli omuzdan kulplu amphoraİar şeklinde iki ayrı grup olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Boyundan kulplu amphoralann İ.Ö. 7. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında, omuzdan kulplu amphoralar ile khytraların ise İ.Ö. 7. yüzyılı sonu ile 6. yüzyılın ilk çeyreği arasında kullanıldıkları görülür. Klasik döneme ait yalnızca 1 adet urne mezar bulunmuştur. İ.Ö. geç 5. yüzyıla ait bu urne, boyundan kulplu bir amphoradır. Hellenistik dönemde ise sayılan artan kremasyonlar ile birlikte urne sayısı da artmış ve urneler stamnos, khytralar ve herhangi bir gruba dahil edilemeyenler olarak üç başlık altında değerlendirilmiştir. Stamnos urneler erken Hellenistik dönemeden İ.Ö. 1. yüzyıla, khytra urneler ise İ.Ö. 2. yüzyılın ortası ile İ.Ö. 1. yüzyılın ikinci yansına tarihlenmişlerdir. Yapılan incelemeler sonrasında Antandros urnelerinde standart bir form olmadığı, genellikle geniş ağızlı günlük kullanım kaplarının urne olarak tercih edildikleri görülmektedir.

ABSTRACT This study, which is named“The Urns of Antandros”, includes 34 urns that were unearthed at Antandros between the years 2001 and 2004. Depending on their forms, contexts and the position in which they were found, 18 of these 34 urns have been dated to the archaic period, 1 of them to the Classical period and 15 to the Hellenistic period. According to this information, the Antandros urns of the Archaic Period were divided into three groups: amphorae, chytra and pots which can not be classified. From these groups the amphora urns are also divided into three groups: amphorae with handles from neck to shoulder, amphorae with handles on shoulders and amphorae with handles on belly. The amphorae with handles on shoulders are divided into two groups: flat-based and ring-based. The amphorae with handles on the belly were used in the second half of the seventh century BC while the amphorae with handles on the shoulders and the chytra seem to have been used between the end of the seventh century BC and the first quarter of the sixth century BC. Only one urn dating to the Classical Period has been found. This urn dates to the fifth century BC and it is an amphora with handles on the neck. As the number of cremation increased in the Hellenistic Period, the number of urns also increased. These urns are divided into three groups: stamnos, chytra and pots which can not be classified. The stamnos urns date from the early Hellenistic period until the first century BC whereas the chytra urns were used from the second century BC until the first century BC. According to the researches, it has been determined that the Antandros urns do not have a standard form. It is seen that, generally wide-mouthed everyday pots were used as urns.
