Özet

2. ÖZET Amaç: Bu çalışmada, beş değişik yaş grubunda ve iki cinsiyet arasında, serebral akuaduktta, sine faz kontrast MRG yöntemiyle BOS akımının normal sayısal değerlerinin incelemesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve yöntem: Herhangi bir serebral patolojinin izlenmediği 60 olgu çalışmaya alındı. Olguların 25'i kadın (%41,6), 35'i erkekti (%58,3). Kişiler yaşlarına göre, 6-14, 15- 24, 25-34, 35-44 ve 45 ve üstü olmak üzere beş gruba ayrıldı. MRG tetkikleri 1.5 Tesla MR cihazı ile gerçekleştirildi. Çalışmada, her kişide, önce T2 ağırlıklı FSE görüntüler aksiyal ve sagittal planlarda elde edilip herhangi bir patoloji olmadığı saptandıktan sonra, T2 ağırlıklı sagittal görüntü üzerinden, sine faz kontrast MRG sekansı olan FLASH through-plane kullanılarak aksiyel planda faz, refaz ve magnitüd görüntüler elde edildi. Hız kodlaması (Venc) tüm bireylerde 20 cm/sn seçildi. Bu düzeyde, serebral akuaduktun ortalama alam (mm2), pik akım hızı (cm/sn), ortalama akün hızı (cm/sn), ortalama akım (lt/dk), bir kardiyak siklustaki kraniyal ve kaudal yönde volümler (mi) ve her iki miktarın toplamı olan net volümler (mi) hem sayısal olarak, hem de grafiklerle incelendi. Sayısal değerler, programdan otomatik olarak elde edildi. Bulgular: Sırasıyla 6-14, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44 ve 45 ve üstü yaş grupları için ortalama değerler (negatif değerler kaudal yönü göstermek üzere) şöyleydi: Pik hız (7.89, 4.70, 5.50, 4.93, 5.85 cm/sn), ortalama hız (-0.74, -0.31, -0.46, -0.56, -0.67 cm/sn), kraniyal yönde volüm (0.016, 0.013, 0.014, 0.012, 0.010 mi), kaudal yönde volüm (-0.026, -0.019, -0.023, -0.021, -0.020 mi), net volüm (-0.010, -0.005, -0.007, -0.009, -0.009 mi), Akuadukt alam yaş gruplarında sırasıyla 2.33, 3.10, 3.07, 2.76, 2.01 mm2 idi. Yaş grubu dikkate alınmaksızın, akuaduktta pik hız değerleri, kraniyal yönde maksimum 1 1.67 cm/sn ile kaudal yönde maksimum 10.16 cm/sn aralığında bulundu. Akım yönü dikkate alınmaksızın, tüm bireylerde akuaduktta pik hız, 1.41-11.67 cm/sn (ortalama 5.95) arasında idi. 3. SUMMARY Objective: The aim of this study was CSF flow quantification in the cerebral aqueduct using cine phase-conrast MRI technique in five different age groups and sexes. Subjects and methods: 60 volunteers who had no cerebral pathologies were included in this study. Of the subjects, 25 (41,6 %) were female and 35 (58,3 %) were male. Subjects were divided into five groups according to their ages as 6-14, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44 and 45+. MR examinations were performed by 1.5 T imaging unit. In the study, after T2-weighted FSE images were obtained in axial and sagittal planes and no pathologies were detected, phase, rephase and magnitude images were acquired through the sagittal T2 weighted image using FLASH through-plane which is a cine phase-contrast sequence at the level of cerebral aqueduct. Velocity encoding (Venc) was selected as 20 cm/sec in a 11 indiv iduals. At t his 1 evel, t he a verage a queductal a rea ( mm2), p eak flow velocity (cm/sec), average flow rate (cm/sec), average flow (L/min), volumes in cranial and caudal directions (mL) in a cardiac cycle, and net volumes (mL) which are the sum of both amounts were studied both quantitatively and with graphics. The values were extracted from the program automatically. Results: The values in 6-14, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44 and 45+ age groups respectively were as follows (with negative values showing the caudal direction): Peak velocity (7.89, 4.70, 5.50, 4.93, 5.85 cms/sec), average velocity (-0.74, -0.31, -0.46, -0.56, -0.67 cms/sec), volumes in cranial direction (0.016, 0.013, 0.014, 0.012, 0.010 ml), volumes in caudal direction (-0.026, -0.019, -0.023, -0.021, -0.020 ml), net volumes (-0.010, -0.005, -0.007, - 0.009, -0.009 ml). Aqueductal area of the age groups were 2.33, 3.10, 3.07, 2.76, 2.01 mm2, respectively. In case where age groups were not taken into consideration, the peak velocity rates were found in the range of 11.67 cm/sec in cranial and 10.16 cm/sec in caudal directions maximally. On the other hand, in case where flow direction was not taken into consideration, the peak flow in all individuals was found between 1.41-11.96 cm/sec (average 5.95).
