Özet
Bu araştırmada, Ortaöğretim 10.sınıf Fizik dersinde öğretilen Potansiyel Enerji kavramının problem çözme stratejisiyle öğretiminin incelenmesi amaçlamıştır. Araştırmada, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deney deseni kullanmıştır. Araştırma, 2006-2007 eğitim-öğretim yılının güz döneminde Konya ili Bozkır İlçesi Bozkır Anadolu Lisesi 10.sınıf öğrencilerinin oluşturduğu iki grup üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Deney grubuna problem çözme stratejisi, kontrol grubuna ise geleneksel öğretim yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada verileri, geçerliliği ve güvenirliği sağlanmış 25 maddeden oluşan çoktan seçmeli Erişi Testi kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Ayrıca çalışma sonunda klinik mülakat ile öğrencilerin problem çözümünde yaptıkları hata ve eksiklikler belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Verilerin çözümünde ve analizinde SPSS 10,0 programında bağımlı ve bağımsız t testi kullanılmıştır.Araştırma sonucuna göre problem çözme stratejisi ile öğretim yapılan deney grubu öğrencileri geleneksel öğretim yöntemi ile öğretimin yapıldığı kontrol grubu öğrencilerden kavrama, uygulama, analiz-sentez ve toplam başarı düzeylerinde istatistiksel açıdan daha başarılı oldukları görülmektedir.

İn this research,it was aimed to be carefully on the teaching of the Potential Energy subject, which is teached in Physics lesson of tenth of secondary education ,with the strategy of problem solving. The experiment pattern that has preliminary test- final test control groups was used in this research. The research was carried out with two groups which consisted of tenth grade students of Bozkır Anatolian High School in Bozkır discrict, Konya, in 2006-2007 academic year autumn term. İt was carried out the problem solving strategy fort he experiment group, the traditional teaching method fort he control group. The research data was collected by using multiple chice Physics test which constisted of 25 items and it is validity and reliability were provided. Also, the mistakes and the deficiencies that the students had while solving the problems were tried to find out with a clinical interview at the end of study. The dependent and independent t-test was used on SPSS 10.0 proğramme in data analysis.According to the result of the research, it seems that the experiment group students who had teaching of problem solving strategy are more succesfull statistical ly in comprehension, practising, analysis-synthesis and the overal achievement level
