Özet
73 SUMMARY İn this study, the gross production value and production factors functional relationships in irrigated farm areas on Şanlıurfa Harran Plain has been examined vith Cobb Douglas production function. The sfrafied sampling method has been used. The material used in this study were collected by questionnaire from 80 farms. This 80 farms vere determined by chance. The finding of this study organized in two section. Economic structure and income -cost situation of farms in the first section, farm size groups and average of farms in the second section vere investigated. In the second section first, model and the selection of variable and hypothesis which were belongs to them were explained, then the production equations vere found vith farm size groups. Then, this production aquations vere compared Productivity of production factors and efficiency of their use analyzed with farm size. The average farm size is 1 38.26 decares of which is 76.31 % owner, 12.05 % rental and 1 1.64 % share- holder. While the farm size groups vere growing, the percentage of owner farm si2e was increasing but the share- holder farm size was decreasing. Crop percentages of this area are as follows : Cotton 93.51 %, wheat 5.42 %, barley 0.90 % and vegetable 0.1 1 %. The highest dry area which is 3.57 % was found in 51 - 1 50 decares farm size group. The average family farm size was found 9.88 and man power unit was 5.29. The percentage of the fixed and tenant's capital was 88.72 % in the sssests, the own capital was 83.88 % In the liability. The vegetable production value was 95.64 % in the total gross production value. While, the farm size was increasing, this percentage was increasing, but the livestock production was decreasing. Labours" (XI ), which is a production factor, production elasticity and marginal income was found positive in all farm size groups. The second group has the highest marginal income of labour and the first group has lowest one. if all farms produce their use of labour instead of otter production factors, they will use their labour force efficiently. The current expenditures (X2) production factor was using on the highest point and has pozitive production elasticities in the second group. In the third group, the current expenditures of production factor was using efficiently but in the first group it was not enough. In all groups, technical capital (X3) has pozitive production elasticity, it has been chancing with various farm size groups. But it has the lowest margiral coefficient then the other production factors. However, while the size ©f farms was growing,74 between technical capital and farm size (X4) efficiency was chancing on the positive dide. Production elasticity of farm size was found positive value in all groups. However, if the farm size increases in the first and second group, the production elasticities of farm size will use more efficiently.
