Özet
63 SUMMARY In this research which is done in a public maritime arsenal employing 4434 employees and which is based on ill- health absence enlistments, 51 male employees working in manif acturing department who have taken ill-health leaves most frequestly are grouped as experimental group, 49 male employees working in administrative control, planning and technical drawing departments of the factories whose ill- health, leaves level is lower are grouped as control group and these two groups are evaluated according to their mental and social structures in order to see if these items differ significantly between the two groups. In the first step of the study an inquiry for is given to the employees in the experimental and control groups aiming to determine the demographic and environmental characteristics, and the date obtained is evaluated comparing the results of“chi-square”,“student-t”tests. In the second step of the study in order to determine the personality disorders of the employees in experimental and control groups Cornell Index personality test, to find out the reasons causing stress and to measure their stress levels Stress Origin scala, to measure their anxiety and care levels STAI FORM Anxiety scale, and to measure their general intelegence and discernment capabilities and their IQ level Cattell Intelegence test 2A are applied. The date obtained from the tests above are evaluated making comparisons between the experiment and control groups using“chi-square”and“student-t”tests.
