84 4.2. SUMMARY : The aim of the study is examining the tourism of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to find out the suitable acco modation establishment prefered by the tourists. The examinations and the results in the study collected in four parts; which are, - In the first part; first the theme and the aim of the study, Then the relation between the study and the tourism investments are explained. After, the difficulties faced during the study are lis ted. - In the second part; The tourism in Cyprus befor 1974, the tourism in Northern Cyprus after 1974, facilities provided by the accomo dation industry, the relation between supply and demand in tourism and the future of the supply and demand are examined. The main re sults of these examinations are, the absense of the travelling bet ween Cyprus and other countries and the low qualified services and facilities in the accomodation industry. Also as a result of this part, it is found that the capacity of the accomodation in dustry will not be enough to overcome the demand. - In the third part; the questioners are prepared to find out the desires and wishes of the tourists which wisiting Northern Cyprus. The results of the questioners showed that, the accomodation estab lishments are not well qualified, organised and have not enough enter taintment, sport and other facilities. - In the fourth part which is the conclusion, the solutions of the problem are suggested. The problem is how the accomodation estab lishments be improved to overcome the demand. The Problem can be solved in two phases: - In short term : We should try to expand the tourism season. By this way, as it was before 1974, the tourism season can be inc-85 ı reased to 11 months a year, because in the winter season the Cli mate is not so cold. - In long term: We have to complete accomodation investments. The type of the suggested accomodation establishment is more like a tourism centre. That is big hotels, bungalows apart-hotels, cam- ping-caravaning etc. posibilites are built in the same area with enter taintment, sport and other facilities. By this way, every kind of tourist can be pleased. Also this system is more economic than the accomodation establishments which are seperated. Because in every accomodation establishments have to be entertaintment, sport and other facilities, but in tourism centre one of each is enough.
