Özet
Bu çalısmanın amacı Kahramanmaras ilinde öncelikli spor branslarının tespiti ile bu bransların seçiminde etki eden sebeplerin arastırılması ve kitle sporunun yaygınlasması açısından degerlendirilmesidir. Bu çalısma Kahramanmaras ilinde 2006?2007 yılları arasında belirli kademelerde sporla ilgili görevleri olan, beden egitimi ögretmeni, antrenör, hakem, spor kulüp yöneticisi, spor il müdürlügü çalısanı, spor basını vb..kisilerden 170'ine uygulanmıstır. Çalısmada veri toplamak için anket yöntemi kullanılmıstır. Anket iki bölümden olusan besli likert tipi bir ankettir. Anketin birinci bölümünde deneklerin kisisel özellikleri belirlenirken, ikinci bölümde öncelikli tercih edilen spor bransı, halkın spora yönlenmesi için yapılması gerekenler, spor etkinliklerine katılmayı saglayan etkenler ve ilgi duyuldugu halde spora katılımı engelleyen sebepler belirlenmistir. Anket yöntemi kullanılarak derlenen veriler, istatistik islem için MS Excel'de düzenlenmistir. SPSS istatistik programında geçerlilik ve güvenirlilik testi uygulanmıstır. statistik testler olarak ise, SPSS' DE çapraz tablolama ve ki-kare testleri uygulanmıstır. Kahramanmaras'ta sporla ilgili belirli görevleri olan, sporun içinde ki kisilerle görüsülerek anket çalısması tamamlanmıstır. Çalısmamızda sporla ilgili bütün sorunlara, çalısmamızın el verdigi ölçüde cevap bulmaya çalıstık. Halkın öncelikli olarak tercih ettigi spor bransını seçmesine etki eden sebeplerle ilgili sorular belirgin olarak cevaplanmıstır. Bunların basında kültürel etkenler gelmektedir. Yörenin ve ülkenin sporda ki basarısı, ülkenin ve yörenin spor politikası, spor bransının seçiminde önemli bir etken oldugu dikkatleri çekmistir. Halkın spora yönlendirilmesi ve spor branslarının gelismesi için yapılması gerekenlerin ilk sıralarında, büyük bir katılımla, halkın tesislerde verimli bir sekilde yararlanması, ulusal- yerel medyanın destek vermesi, yetenekli sporcuların maddi manevi desteklenmesi yer almakta dadır. Spora yönelmeye ve spor etkinliklerine katılmaya etki eden sebeplerin tespitinde; denekler en çok, spora karsı kisisel ilgilerinin oldugunu belirtmislerdir. Sırayla digerleri: arkadas çevresi, okulun spor faaliyetleri ve beden egitimi ögretmenin yaklasımları olarak sıralanmıstır. lgi duyuldugu halde spor yapılmasına engel teskil eden faktörlerin basında, maddi imkânsızlıklar gelmektedir. Sırayla, bos vaktin olmaması, istenilen bransta tesis olmaması ve yerel kurumların yeterince sporu desteklememsi olarak belirtilmistir. Çalısmamızın son bölümünde ise Kahramanmaras'ın sporla ilgili sorunlarına somut öneriler getirilmistir.

The purpose of this study is to posit prior sport branches in Kahramanmaras and to research the causes affecting the selection of these branches, and to assess in the aspect of spread of public sport. This study has been implemented on 170 people who had duties related to sports in certain levels between 2006 and 2007 in Kahramanmaras such as physical education teachers, trainers, referees, sports club managers, local sport principality, sport press. In the study, the survey technique has been used to collect data for this research. The survey is a five-option likert type scale consisting of two parts. The first part is used to collect personal data. The second part is used to determine prior sport branch, the things that should be done for public?s tendency to sport, factors that make people take part in sport activities and factors that prevent people from taking part in sport activities despite their interest. The data collected through survey technique was organized with MS Excel for statistical process. The validity and reliblity tests have been implemented with SPSS statistics programme. As statistical tests cross table and ki-square tests have been implemented. The survey study has been completed by interviewing with people who are in sports and have duties related to sports in Kahramanmaras.In our study, we have tried to find answers to any problems related to sports as long as we could. The questions related to factors affecting the public to primarily prefer the sport branch have been thickly answered. Cultural factors come first. The success of the region and the country in sports, the sports policy of the country and region attract attention as important factors in selection of the sports branch. In the first positions of the things to be done to orient public to sports and the development of sport branches, people?s getting benefit from facilities effectively and with great attendance, the support of national-local press, the talented sportsmen being supported financially and spiritually take part. In the fixation of factors that affect people?s tendency to sports and taking part in sports interviewees have mostly stated that they have personal interests in sports. The other factors are as follows: Friends, the sports activities of the school and attitudes of sports teacher. Financial impossibilities come first in the factors that prevent people from taking part in sport activities despite their interest. The others are as follows: Lack of free time, absence of facility in the demanded branch and local institutions? not supporting sport adequately. In the last part of our study, solutions to the problems of sports in Kahramanmaras have been proposed.
