Özet
Bu çalışma genel anlamda zaman üzerine yürütülen metafiziksel tartışmalara ve zamanın varlıkbilimsel açıdan ele alınmasına bir katkı yapmayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde Kant'ın zaman ve uzamı duyusallığın biçimleri olarak tanımlayıp görülerin arka planına yerleştirmesi ve bunlara deneyimin kuruluşunda öncelik vermesi tartışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda zamanın gerek ben'in birliğinin, gerekse dışsal deneyimin kuruluşundaki özgün rolü üzerinde durulmuş ve bu yapının sağlamlığı sorgulanmıştır. Özellikle burada anların ayırılması üzerinden zamanın kuruluşu sürecinin aynılık-başkalık kavramlarına gereksindiği belirtilerek, Platon'un Sofist'te ortaya koyduğu temel formlar bakımından Kant'çı süreç eleştiriye tabi tutulmuştur. İkinci bölümde ise Aristoteles ve Leibniz'in zaman üzerine düşünceleri açımlanmaya çalışıldı. Burada özellikle Aristoteles'çi anlamda ortaya konulan an-zaman ilişkisinin mahiyeti ve zamanın devinimle ilişkisi üzerinden zamanın tam olarak kuşatılma olanağı irdelenmiştir. Aristoteles'in zamanı ?önce ve sonraya göre devinimin sayısı? olarak ele almasının, kendisinin kaçtığı Platon'cu çerçeveyi başka bir yoldan tekrar ürettiği ya da ona gereksindiği ortaya konulmuştur. Leibniz'de ise, Newton'un, daha sonra Kant'çı çerçeveye de ilham verecek olan mutlak zaman formülüne karşı zamanın göreliliğini ve yeter-neden ilkesi ile nedensellikle olan bağıntısını ortaya koyması tartışılmıştır. Bu iki filozoftaki ortak tema olan değişimin maddede ya da tözde, bir tür potansiyel ya da olasılık olarak içerilmesi düşüncesinin, bu tözlerin içinden geçecekleri anları önceden içeren ve bu anların ardışık kopuşlarıyla zamanın kuruluşunu sağlayan bir ilk hafızanın varlığına gereksinim duyduğu vurgulanmıştır. Son bölümde ise Platon'un Timaios'ta ortaya koyduğu zamanın kuruluşu düşüncesi açılmaya çalışılmıştır. Timaios'taki mitos anlatısının zamanın ve deneyimin kuruluşu bakımından nasıl ele alınabileceği araştırılarak Platon'cu çerçevenin zamana öncelediği sonsuzluk ve sayı kavramları zamanla ilişkileri bağlamında ele alınmıştır.

This study aims to make a contribution to the metaphysical discussions on time and its ontological exposition in general manner. In the first section, a discussion is conducted on the description of space and time as the forms of external and internal senses, and placement of them to the background of our intuition as the a priori conditions for our experience by Kant. In this context, the unique role of time during the establishment of both the unity of I and outer experience is assessed and soundness of this structure is discussed. Here, by emphasizing the necessity for the concepts of sameness and difference during the constitution of time by distinction of the nows, Kantian process is criticized with respect to the basic forms given by Plato in The Sophist. The second section includes a trial for the exposition of the thoughts of Aristoteles and Leibniz on time. In this section, the possibility for the understanding of time by the nature of the relations of now to time and time to change descibed in the Aristotelian way is investigated. It is shown that thinking of the time as ?the number of the changes with respect to before and after? as Aristoteles does reproduces, or needs the Plato?s viewpoint which he tries to escape. In the second half of the section, on the other hand, Leibniz?s arguments of relational time and its relation to principles of sufficient reason and causality against the Newtonian formulae of the absolute time, which later inspire Kantian view are examined. It is emphasized that the thought of the inclusion of the future changes within the matter or substance as a potential or possibility, which is common in both of them, requires the existence of an original memory that includes the successive nows through which these substances will pass, and constitutes the time by the successive occurences of these nows. The last section involves a trial for the exposition of Plato?s view on the constitution of time given in Timaeus. The ways for handling the mythical narration of Timaeus for the constitution of the time and experience are investigated and the concepts of eternity and number preceding time in Plato?s view are discussed in relation to time.
