Özet
Tarihsel süreçte beden temsili, toplumsal düşünceye paralel bir gelişim göstermiş, bir ifade aracı olarak çeşitli sanatsal faaliyetlere yayılmıştır. Bedenin temsili söz konusu olduğunda sinema da bu faaliyetlerden biridir. Türk sinemasında 1990 sonrası beden temsillerinin incelendiği tez, üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, ilk olarak sinemanın estetik kodlarını kullandığı resim geleneği, bu gelenekte şekillenen beden olgusunun tarihsel çerçevesi ele alınmıştır. Bunun yanında, bedenin kurgulanmış gerçekliğini ele almada çalışmaya ışık tutacak olan beden üzerinden felsefi okumalara değinilmiş, feminist literatür gözden geçirilmiş ve bedenin sosyal dönüşümünü algılayabilmek için iktidar ve ideoloji kavramları açıklanmıştır. Yine bu bölümde kamusal ve özel alan kavramları tartışılmış, Türk sinemasına ışık tutması açısından Türk toplumunda beden temsilleri açımlanılmaya çalışılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise sinema ve beden ilişkisi ele alınılmış, sinema, beden ve modernizm ilişkisi çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Modern öznenin sinemada sunumu normalleştirme bağlamında araştırılmış, film endüstrileri sorgulanmıştır. Bununla birlikte, araştırma konusu olan beden temsillerini inceleyebilmek açısından, Türk sineması ele alınmış ve 1990 sonrası Türk sineması çeşitli sınıflandırmalara tabi tutulmuştur. Tezin üçüncü bölümünde ise ikinci bölümdeki sınıflandırmalardan hareketle Türk sineması örnekleminde, bedenler üzerinden sosyal pratikler okunmaya çalışılmıştır.

The evolution of body representations throughout the history has always been in parallel with social thought, and body representations have found place in the artistic activities as a means of communication. Cinema is one of these artistic activities as far as body representations are concerned. This thesis, which examines the Turkish cinema after 1990, is comprised of three sections. In the first section, the historical framework of body representations is examined, where body representations are shaped by the tradition of picture from which cinema inherited its codes of aesthetics. Furthermore, the philosophical readings, which help us shed light on the fiction of the body, are touched, the feminist literature is reviewed, and the concepts of power and ideology are explained in an effort to grasp the social transformation of the body. Also in this section, the concepts of public and private spaces are discussed and the body representations in Turkey are elucidated in order to shed light on Turkish cinema. In the second section, the relationship between the body and cinema is examined, and cinema is evaluated through the framework of the body and modernism. The presentation of the modern subject in cinema is discussed in the context of normalization and the film industry is questioned. Additionally, in order to examine the representations of body, which is the focus of the thesis, the Turkish cinema is examined and the Turkish cinema after 1990 is put through various classifications. In the third section of the thesis, based on the classifications made in the second section, social practices are read over the body representations on the sample space of the Turkish cinema after 1990.
