Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, örnek olay yönteminin mürettebat koordinasyonu dersinde geleneksel öğrenmeye göre öğrenci başarısına etkisini belirlemek ve öğrenci görüşlerini almaktır. Araştırma, Kara Havacılık Okulu'nda, 2007-2008 Eğitim/Öğretim yılında 43ncü Dönem Helikopter Pilot Subay Temel Kursunu takip eden 47 öğrenci üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın deney grubunu 24 öğrenci, kontrol grubunu ise 23 öğrenci oluşturmuştur.Çalışmada deneysel model türlerinden, ?son test kontrol gruplu? araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Bu amaçla nitel ve nicel veri toplama araçları birlikte kullanılmıştır. Başarı testi nicel veri toplama aracı olarak, görüşme formları ise nitel veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Başarı testinin KR-20 değeri 0,861 olarak hesaplanmıştır.Örnek olay yöntemi uygulaması sonrası, deney ve kontrol gruplarının son test sıra ortalamaları arasında yapılan U-testi sonuçları gruplar arasında fark olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Deney grubu öğrencilerinin başarı testi son test sıra ortalamaları daha yüksek çıkmıştır. Bu sonuca göre mürettebat koordinasyonu dersinde örnek olay yöntemi uygulamasının, geleneksel öğretime göre öğrenci başarısı üzerinde daha etkili olduğu söylenebilir. Görüşme formlarının değerlendirilmesi sonucunda elde edilen bulguların da bu sonucu desteklediği söylenebilir. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of case study method on crew coordination course in comparison to traditional learning method and to take student views. The study was conducted at Army Aviation School in 2007-2008 academic year with the participation of 47 students of the 43rd Term Helicopter Pilot Officer Basic Training. The treatment group of the study consists of 24 students, and the control group consists of 23 students.In this study, the type of experimental model with ?post-test control group? was employed. For this purpose, qualitative and quantitative data collection instruments were used together. An achievement test was used as the quantitative data collection instrument, and interview forms were used as qualitative data collection means. The KR-20 value of the achievement test was calculated to be 0,861.U-test conducted after the treatment showed significant difference between the group means of the treatment and control groups on the post-test. The results of the treatment group students on the post-test are higher. Based on this result, it can be said that case study method is more effective on student success in crew cordination course compared to traditional methods. It can be said that the results obtained after the evaluation of the interview forms also support this conclusion.
