Özet
Bu araştırma, anestezi sonrası bakım ünitelerinin mevcut durumunu değerlendirmek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştırAraştırmanın evrenini; İstanbul il sınırları içinde yer alan, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Sağlık Bakanlığına bağlı Devlet Hastaneleri, Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastaneleri, Üniversite Hastaneleri, Askeri Hastaneler ve Özel Hastaneler olmak üzere toplam 197 hastane oluşturdu. Örneklemini ise bu hastaneler içinde anestezi sonrası bakım ünitesi bulunan 71 hastane oluşturdu. Araştırmada veriler Anestezi Sonrası Bakım Ünitelerinin Mevcut Durumunu Belirleme Formu ve Anestezi Sonrası Bakım Ünitelerinin Donanımını Belirleme Formu ile toplandı. Bulguların değerlendirilmesinde yüzdelik dağılımı kullanıldıAraştırma sonucunda hastanelerin anestezi sonrası bakım ünitelerinin % 69.8' inin ameliyathane içinde bulunduğu, % 98.5' inde izolasyon odası bulunmadığı, % 44.6' sının yoğun bakım ünitesi ile aynı katta bulunduğu, aynı zamanda % 22.7' sinin yoğun bakım ünitesi gibi kullanıldığı, % 32.9' unun ameliyat öncesi dönem hazırlık odası olarak kullanıldığı, % 61.4' ünde hastayı yine anestezi teknisyenin teslim aldığı ve % 34.3' ünde ise anestezi sonrası bakım ünitesi hemşirelerinin çalıştığı belirlendiBu sonuçlarına göre cerrahi girişim sonrası dönemde morbidite ve mortalitenin azalmasında önemli yere sahip olan anestezi sonrası bakım ünitelerine gereken önemin verilmesi ve cerrahi girişim uygulanan tüm hastanelerde anestezi sonrası bakım ünitesinin bulunması gerektiği söylenebilir.

The study of assess existing conditions of the post anesthesia care unitsThis research has been carried out in order to assess existing conditions of the post anesthesia care unitsScope of the study universe is comprised of 197 Hospitals within Istanbul province including State Hospitals of Ministry of Health, Education and Research Hospitals, University Hospitals, Military Hospitals and Private Hospitals. 71 hospitals having post anesthesia care units constitute the sampling base. The research data were collected via Determination Form for Existing Conditions of the Post Anesthesia Care Units and Determination Form for Determination of Existing Equipments of the Post Anesthesia Care Units. Percentage distribution was employed in the assessment of findingsThe study showed that in 69.8% of the hospitals the post anesthesia care units are located within the operation rooms, 98.5% did not have isolation rooms, 44.6% the intensive care units are located within the same storey and also 22.7% the post anesthesia care units like intensive care unit. 32.9% are availed as preoperative preparation rooms, in 61.4% the patients are admitted by anesthesia technicians in the post anesthesia care units and nurses are employed in 34.3According to the results of the study it can be say, that adequate importance can give on the post anesthesia care units which have a significance on reducing the post operative morbidity and mortality and that the most of the hospitals which have surgery must have the post anesthesia care units.
