Özet

-44- ÖZET Bu araştırma, Takat ekolojik şartlarında Misk Adacayının özellikleri üzerine farklı sıra aralıklarının etkilerini be lirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Denemede, 4 farklı sıra Bra.- I1Q1 (20, 30, 40 ve 50 cm) kullanılmıştır. ilk yıl hasat ya pılmamış, rozet seklinde kışı geçiren bitkiler ikinci yıl ci- cek salkımının tamamlandığı fakat çiçeklerin henüz acilmadiQ^r devrelerde olmak üzere iki kez hasat edilmiştir. Araştırmada genel olarak, sıra aralıkları arttıkça ince lenen bitkisel verim özelliklerinde bir azalma olmuş ve 20 cm sıra aral ıQı. genel 1 ik le dikerlerinden daha yüksek deQere sa hip bulunmuştur, öteki 3 sıra araliQi, hiçbir verim özelli ğinde istatistik! olarak birbirinden farklı bulunmamıştır. -47- SUMMARY This study was conducted to determine the effects of row spacing on characters of clary sage (Salvia sclarea L.) under Tokat ecological conditions. Inspected row spacings were 20, 30, 40 and 50 cm. In the first year, any cutting was not made. In the next spring, two cuttings were made at the peri ods of flowering. Generally, by increasing row spacing there was a de crease on the yield characters of the plant and at 20 cm row spacing. These characters were found higher values than the others. There 'was no difference among other three row spac ings for these characters. Contrary to herbal yields, plant height was different at 50 cm. On the other hand, flower panicle lenght was not affected by raw spacing. Even if increasing row spacing had a positive effect on essential oil contents for drug quality. At 20 cm row spacing, essential oil content of leaves had a less value than the others. Essential oil yield is characterized by drug yield and essential oil content. Since increasing row spacing had nega tive effect on the drug yield but it had possitive effect on the essential oil content. Because of that reason, effect of row spacing on the essential oil yield was not had signifi cant difference. Generally, essential oil yields tented to decrease at the increasing row spacing. Exceptions of flower yields, there were significant dif ferences between cuttings for all of the herbal yields, and first cutting had higher values than second. While-48- cuttings were not affected by row spacing for fresh flower yield, second cuttings had a higher value for dry flower yield. First cutting for plant height, second cutting for flower panicle lenght were higher value. This possition in dicated that, at first cutting, vegetative organs were high, at the second cutting, flower development^ was high. As seen early in the row spacing, also in the cuttings, there was a decrease for essential oil contents. For reason that, at the first cutting, drug flower yield was low but es sential oil content of flowers was high. Whereas at" the sec ond cutting, drug leaf yield was high but essential oil con tent of leaves was low. For essential oil yields, second cutting was high in flowers while first cutting was high in leaves. Thus, between the cuttings were not found statistically difference for to tal essential oil yield. At the end of the study, it was fixed that herbal yields were high at densely placed population but drug quality was better in rare population. Since the effects of row spacing on the herbal yields were clearer than those of essential oil contents, for the total essential oil yield, which is formed by both of these characters, densely placed popula tions have found to be slightly higher. For this reason, ac cording to the one-yeared results of this study, densely placed populations can be recommended.
