Özet
Bu çalışmada, PISA 2003 projesindeki matematik soruları, yenilenen ilköğretim matematik programlarını görmüş olan , Kocaeli Kartepe ilçesi 8. ve 9. sınıf düzeyi örnekleminde uygulanmış ve sorulara verilen cevap yüzdeleri 2003 projesindeki sonuçlarla karşılaştırılarak değerlendirilmeye gidilmiştir. Ayrıca sorulara verilen cevapların okul türlerine ve cinsiyete göre değişimi de incelenmiştir.Araştırma genel tarama modellerinden, tekil tarama modelinde, anlık durum saptama ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma evrenini Kocaeli iline bağlı Kartepe ilçesinde eğitim gören lise 1 ve 8.sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır.Araştırma örneklemini Kartepe ilçesinde bulunan 6 farklı okul türündeki,8. ve 9. sınıf seviyesinden 117 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır.Veriler, PISA 2003 matematik sorularının bulunduğu uygulama formu ile elde edilmiştir. Uygulama çalışması 12 sorudan oluşup, formun ilk bölümünde öğrencilerin demografik özellikleri ikinci bölümde ise PISA 2003 matematik soruları bulunmaktadırVerilerin analizinde SPSS 15.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) programı kullanılmıştır. 2003 PISA sınavına giren öğrencilerin matematik başarısı ile örnekleme almış olduğumuz öğrencilerin başarılarını karşılaştırmak amacıyla Ki-Kare testi uygulanmıştır.Araştırmada, öğrencilerin başarılarının, yenilenen programlara rağmen 2003 yılındakinin gerisinde kaldığı, okul türleri arasındaki farkın da dikkat çekici boyutlarda olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca kız ve erkek öğrencilerin başarıları, bazı sorularda değişmekle birlikte genel olarak birbirine yakın çıkmıştır.

In this research, Maths questions in PISA 2003 project are applied to the sample of 8th and 9th grade students in Kocaeli, Kartepe district, who have received the renewed primary Maths programs; and the percentage of the answers are evaluated in comparison with the results of PISA 2003 project. The variation of the answers are also studied according to school types and gender.The research has been conducted by means of spontaneous stabilisation in unique surveying model of general survey models. The universe of the study includes 8th and 9th grade students being educated in Kartepe district of Kocaeli province.Research sample covers 117 students from primary 8th grade and high school grade 1 students of six different school types.Research data is acquired by the application form including PISA 2003 Maths question. The application consists of 12 questions. The preliminary part of the form includes the demographic features of students while the second part covers PISA 2003 Maths questions.In the analysis of data SPSS 15.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) programme is used. Chi-Square test is applied for the comparison between Maths success of students who have taken 2003 PISA test and the students studied as sample.In this study students success, despite renewed programmes, is found to be lower than that of theyear 2003. Another finding of the study is that; there is a significant difference among varioustypes of school. The success of male and female students, although varying in some questions,generally appeared to be similar.
