Özet
93 SUMMARY In this study, out of total 333 Specimen, 1140*0*, 144QQ, 56 Subadult and 19 juveniles, collected from Black Sea region, belonging to the species L.viridis were examined. These specimens obtained from 8 different areas (Adapazarı, Bolu, Zonguldak, Kastamonu, Sinop, Samsun, Ordu, Giresun) were considered according to their morphological characters, habitat features, bilological similarities (feeding, partly breeding), geografical distribution and intraspesific classifications. The results can be summarized as below. The range of the distribution area was enlarged in addition to previously described regions in the literature, for our country (Figure 2). It is postulated that some differences in relation to the pholidosis characters observed between the populations are found not important statistically and also can not be used intraspecific classification. The observations made in respect to body ratio, it is determined that head width, pleus width and head length in males were bigger that those of females. According to the total mean values of length the smallest specimens are found in Samsun population, the longest specimens are found in Giresun population. When the color and the pattern were considered 5 different pattern is determined among the specimen observed (Figure 8). While the pattern type A is most frequent (49, 25 %), the pattern E is found in the least number (4,20 %). According to our observations and measurements there are no clear differences distinguished between the populations. These given morphological features, could not be evaluated for the subspecies discrimination which previously were indicated ssp. paphlagonica94 and ssp. infrapunctata with the exception of ssp.meridionalis within Turkey's L.viridis populations. The ecological and biological features of the habitat of 8 different locality in Black Sea Region, where the specimen collected have been given in detail. The stomach contents of 40 specimen of L.viridis were determined in respect to their use in biological post control some informations about the younglings and the eggs of this oviparous species based on our laboratory and field observations, have also included in the present work.
