Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi sınırları içinde yer alan Neolitik Dönem yerleşimlerinde yapılmış ve yapılmakta olan arkeolojik kazı çalışmalarıyla açığa çıkarılan dönemin insanının sadece avcı ve tüketici bir yapıya sahip olmadığını üretici ve yaratıcı olduğunu da somut olarak belgeleyen heykeltraşlık eserlerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Konu kapsamına giren bölgenin; coğrafi yapısı, iklimi, yerşekilleri, araştırma tarihçesi ve yerleşimleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Heykeltraşlık eserleri tipolojik olarak gruplandırılmış ve tanımlanmıştır. Tipolojik gruplandırma ile eserlerin benzerlikleri ve farklılıkları saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Sonraki aşamada ise eserlerin detaylı tanımlamaları, görsel ve istatiksel verilerle desteklenmiştir. Yerleşimlerin ve eserlerin dönemleri için kronolojik tablo eklenmiştir. Çalışmamızın sonucunda ise, eserlerin yapılış amacı ve ne ifade ettiği hakkında ortaya atılan ve öne sürülen görüşler karşılaştırmalı olarak belirtilmiş ve incelenmiştir. Halen etkisini koruyan bu görüşler üzerinden hareketle heykeltraşlık eserleri değerlendirilmiştir.

The present study aims to evaluate the sculpture works which were revealed by the archeological excavations performed and being performed in Neolithic period settlements located within the borders of Southeastern Anatolia Region and which provide concrete evidence to the argument that the people living in that era were not only hunter and consumer but also producer and creative. Information is given on the geographical structure, climate, geographical formations, research history and settlements of the regions included in the subject scope. The sculpture works are typologically classified and defined. With the typological classification, the similarities and differences of the works are tried to be determined. In the next phase, the detailed definitions of the works are supported by visual and statistical data. A general chronological table is included for the periods of the settlements and works. At the end of our study, the arguments regarding the reason why the works were created and what they mean are stated and analyzed comparatively. The sculpture works are analyzed in terms of these arguments which are still effective.
