Özet
Bu çalışma öğrencilerin fen bilgisi dersinde akademik başarılarına modellendirme ve benzetmenin etkisi incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Araştırma Kars İli Merkez İlköğretim Okulları evren olarak alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Örneklem olarak Kars İli Atatürk İlköğretim Okulunda okumakta olan 39 Öğrenci örneklem olarak seçilmiştir. Konu öğrencilere düz anlatım yöntemi ile anlatıldıktan sonra bir ön test uygulanmış bir süre sonra aynı öğrenci grubuna model ve benzetmelerin bulunduğu ikinci bir son test uygulanmıştır.Uygulanan öğretmen anketlerinden elde edilen bulgulara göre fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin model ve benzetme yöntemine yatkın oldukları fakat bazen ders materyalleri ile modellerin karıştırıldığı görülmektedir.Öğrencilere uygulanan başarı testinde elde edilen bulgulara göre, benzetmenin anlatımda kullanılmasının öğrenmeyi kolaylaştıracağı, fakat uygulayıcılarının modellendirme konusunda yeterince bilgi sahibi olması gerektiği görülmektedir.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of modelling and analogy in science teaching of students? academic success.The investigation was applied in the Elementary Education Schools in Kars.Thirty nine students in Kars Atatürk Elementary Education School were chosen as sampling.First,the subject was taught to the students through lecturing and then a pre-test was applied.Second,an other test that consisted of the methods of modelling and analogy was applied to the same student group.According to the findings of teacher questionnaires,it is understood that the teachers of science incline to use the method of analogy but sometimes,they misunderstand how to use models and lesson materials.According to the findings that were applied to the students,it is understood that the use of analogy in lecturing makes learning easy but the ones who use this method must have enough knowledge about modelling.
