Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı; ilköğretim 8. sınıf Matematik dersi öğretimi sürecine katılan ilköğretim 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarına, işbirlikli öğrenme yönteminin uygulanmasında kullanılan Grup Araştırması ve Jigsaw Teknikleri ile Geleneksel Öğretim Yönteminin etkisini ve bu teknikler hakkında öğrenci görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Bu çalışmanın çalışma grubu, 2010?2011 eğitim-öğretim yılı 2. döneminde Erzurum'un bir ilçesindeki İlköğretim Okulu 8/A,8/C ve 8/D sınıflarında öğrenim gören 48 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır.Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmada ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel araştırma modeli uygulanmış, Üçgenler Akademik Başarı Testi, Grup Araştırması Görüş Anketi ve Jigsaw Görüş Anketi kullanılmıştır. Öğrenciler seçkisiz olarak 16 kişilik Deney 1, 16 kişilik Deney 2 ve 16 kişilik Kontrol gruplarına ayrılmıştır. İşbirlikli öğrenme tekniklerinden, Deney 1 grubuna ?Grup Araştırması Tekniği?, Deney 2 grubuna ?Jigsaw Tekniği? uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubunda ise ?Geleneksel Öğretim Yöntemleri? ile ders işlenmiştir.Yapılan değerlendirmeler çerçevesinde ?Üçgenler Başarı Testi? ön testinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre araştırmaya katılan grupların benzer özellikte oldukları sonucuna varılmıştır. ?Üçgenler Başarı Testi?nin son test puanları için yapılan analiz sonuçları, uygulanan işbirlikli öğretim yaklaşımlarının akademik başarı üzerindeki etkisinin anlamlı olduğunu göstermiştir. Bu sonuçlara göre ilköğretim 8. sınıf Matematik dersi öğretiminde grup araştırması ve jigsaw tekniklerinin geleneksel yönteme göre, jigsaw tekniğinin de grup araştırması tekniğine göre akademik başarıyı artırmada daha etkili olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of Group Study, Jigsaw Techniques and conventional teaching methods that are used in cooperative learning method in the 8th grade primary education students? academic achievement who have taken science and technology course and to determine these students? views about these techniques. The sample of this study were 48 students composed of classes 8A, 8C and 8D during second term in 2010-2011 academic year of a primary school in a district of Erzurum.As for the data tool; an experimental research design with pretest and posttest groups, Triangles Academic Achievement Test, Group Research Servey and Jigsaw Opinion Survey were used. Randomly selected students of 16 people were in group Test 1, 16 people were in group Test 2 and 16 people were in control groups. Among the cooperative learning techniques; Group Study Technique was used to the experimental test group 1, Jigsaw Technique was applied to the experimental test group 2 and the conventional teaching methods was used in the Control group.Within the framework of the evaluations;“Triangles Achievement Test”was preliminary test according to the results obtained are compared with those of groups that participated in the survey concluded.“Triangles Achievement Test”results of the analysis for the post-test scores, the collaborative instructional approaches showed significant effect on academic achievement. According to these results, teaching method for mathematics for 8th grade elementary class; group research and jigsaw techniques according to traditional technique, and jigsaw technique according to the group research technique concluded that are more effective in increasing academic achievement.
