Dr. Mevlüt GÜNALBu araştırmada yumurta tavuğu sekum içeriği ile inkübe edilmiş yonca unu ve yumurta tavuğu yemine 0, 4 ve 8 g/L Yucca schidigera ekstraktı ilavesinin toplam gaz üretimi, pH, organik madde yıkımı, amonyak ve metan üretimi gibi bazı fermentasyon parametreleri üzerine etkileri in vitro toplam gaz üretim tekniği kullanarak incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Zamana bağlı gaz üretim değerleri 0, 3, 6, 12 ve 24 saatlik zaman dilimlerinde yapılmıştır. Toplam gaz üretimine ait kinetik değerler G = A/(1 + (C/t)B) fonksiyonu kullanılarak elde edilmiştir.Yonca ve yumurta yeminin sekum gaz üretim parametreleri ile sekum organik madde yıkımı, metan ve amonyak üretimi farklı bulunmuştur (P<0.05). Yemlere 4 ve 8 g/L Yucca schidigera ekstraktı ilavesi maksimum gaz üretim oranı ve asimptotik gaz üretimini etkilemezken (P>0.05), bu yemlere 8 g/L Yucca schidigera ekstraktı ilavesi maksimum gaz üretim oranının oluştuğu zamanı uzatmıştır (P<0.05). Asimptotik gaz üretiminin % 50'si için geçen zaman açısından yemler ile Yucca schidigera ekstraktı seviyeleri arasında önemli derecede interaksiyon saptanmıştır (P<0.05). Yumurta yemine 4 ve 8 g/L Yucca schidigera ekstraktı ilavesi asimptotik gaz üretiminin % 50'si için geçen zamanı etkilemezken (P>0.05), yoncaya 8 g/L Yucca schidigera ekstraktı ilavesi bu parametrenin artmasına sebep olmuştur (P<0.05). Yemlere 4 ve 8 g/L Yucca schidigera ekstraktı ilavesi sekum pH, amonyak ve metan üretimini düşürmüştür (P<0.01).Sonuç olarak yumurta tavuğu sekum içeriği ile inkübe edilmiş yonca ya da yumurta yemine 4 ve 8 g/L Yucca schidigera ekstraktı ilavesi bazı fermentasyon parametrelerini önemli derecede etkilemektedir. Yucca schidigera ekstraktı yumurta tavuğu yemlerinde amonyak ve metan üretiminin azaltılmasında yardımcı olabilir bir yem katkı maddesi olarak düşünülebilir.

Prof. Dr. Mevlüt GÜNALThe aim of this experiment was to investigate the effects of 0, 4 and 8 g/L addition of a Yucca schidigera extract to alfalfa or layer feed on total gas production, pH, organic matter degradability, ammonia and methane production in vitro gas production technique. The gas production of samples was recorded at 3, 6, 12 and 24 h after the started of fermentation. The gas production data were fitted to the equation of G = A/(1 + (C/t)B ).Caecum gas production parameters, caecum organic matter degradability, ammonia-N and methane production were different between alfalfa and layer feed groups (P<0.01). The addition of 4 and 8 g/L Yucca schidigera extract to feeds did not affect (P>0.05) the maximum rate of gas production and asimptotic gas production, whereas 8 g/L Yucca schidigera extract to feeds increased (P<0.05) the time to produce of maximum gas production rate. Feeds and Yucca schidigera extract levels had significant interactions (P<0.05) in the time to produce 50 % of asimptotic gas production. Although the addition of 4 and 8 g/L Yucca schidigera extract to layer feed did not affect (P>0.05), 8 g/L Yucca schidigera extract to alfalfa increased the time to produce 50 % of asimptotic gas production (P<0.05). The addition of 4 and 8 g/L Yucca schidigera extract to feeds decreased caecum pH, ammonia-N and methane production.As a results of this experiment show that 4 and 8 g/L addition of a Yucca schidigera extract to alfalfa or layer feed affect some fermentation parameters of layer hen caecum. Yucca schidigera extract as feed additive can be considered to help to decrease in ammonia-N and methane production.
