Özet
Bu tezde“Çağımızın bilimsel yöntem anlayışları ve eğitimi ile ilgisinde insanı temele alan bir bilimsel yöntem ve daha insancıl bir eğitim nasıl mümkün olabilir?”sorusu Giambattista Vico üzerinden ortaya konup sorgulanacaktır. Tezin çözümlemeye çalışacağı bu problem üç bölümde ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır. Giriş bölümünde bilimsel düşünce ve felsefe tarihinde önemli yere sahip düşünürlerin bilimsel yöntem konusunda görüşleri ana hatlarıyla yazılacaktır. Birinci bölümde Francis Bacon'ın özellikle başyapıtı olan Novum Organum adlı eserinden faydalanılarak Francis Bacon'ın genel felsefe görüşü, bilimsel yöntem ve tümevarım konusundaki görüşleri serimlenecektir. İkinci bölümde René Descartes'ın genel felsefe görüşü ve yöntem konusundaki görüşleri özellikle Metot Üzerine Konuşma adlı eserinden yararlanılarak gözler önüne serilecektir. Üçüncü bölümde ise Giambattista Vico'nun tarihsel yöntem, hümanist eğitim konusundaki görüşleri özellikle Çağımızın Araştırma Yöntemleri adlı eserinden faydalanılarak ortaya konulacaktır. Sonuç bölümünde ise; Bacon, Descartes ve Vico'nun yönteme dair görüşleri karşılaştırılıp; Bacon ve Descartes'ın“kesinlik hakikatten önce gelir”anlayışı yerine, Vico'nun“hakikat kesinlikten önce gelir”anlayışının tekrar canlandırılıp, günümüz eğitim ve bilimi üzerindeki olumlu yansımaları gösterilmeye çalışılacaktır.

The question“How can a more humanistic education and a scientific method that focuses on human being in relation to scientific method and education of our age be possible?”will be put forward over the thoughts of Giambattista Vico. This fundamental problem will be tried to be examined in three chapters. In the Introduction, the ideas about the scientific method of the major thinkers in the history of philosophy will be written. In the first chapter, the general philosophy and views of scientific method and induction of Francis Bacon will be put forth by benefitting from Novum Organum. In the second chapter, the general philosophy and ideas on method of René Descartes will be put forward in the context of Discourse on the Method. In the third chapter, the ideas on the historical method and humanistic education of Giambattista Vico will be set out by particularly taking into account of On the Study Methods of Our Time. In the Conclusion, the ideas about method of Bacon, Descartes and Vico will be compared. Through this comparison, it is intended to point out the view“truth comes before certainty”of Vico in terms of its positive reflections on actual education and science of our age, instead of the view“certainty comes before truth”of Descartes.
