Özet
-II- SUMMARY This study has been done in order to determine the lime applica t i on on acid soils in the Region of Trakya and the effects of lime on physical characteristics of soils» studies have been carried out on the soil samples randomly taken from depths of 0-20 cms at two different places? which would represent acid- reactive soil of the region» I n t h e p a r t o f ma t e r i a 1 a n d m e t h o t :. t h e g e n e r a 1 c h a r a c: t e - ristics of the region, the place from which samples were taken and the establishment of the test have bean explained and so consequently have the methods of Esna lysis of soil. In part of the Conclusion and C'ebate, physical and Chemica analysis sutcemes of the samples of soil under study have been evaluated and the findings gained have been summarised as fol lows,, 1-P'H degrees of the acid soils exposed to lime with respect- to their need have showed substantial! variation» pH degrees inc reased with the calcination,, pH degrees of samples have both risen up to their neutral levels» 2- It. has been determined that the saturation levels of acid soils exposed to lime with respect to their need have risen at the rates of 5-8 %? and that no changes have accured in the structure of soil» 3~It has been determined that the % porosity of acid soils exposed to lime with respect to their need have risen at the rates 25 % "-I- ÖZET Bu araştırma Trakya Bölgesi asit. topraklarında kireç uygulaması ile kirecin toprakların fiziksel özellikleri üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır» Bölgenin asit reaksiyonlu toprakların temsil edecek şekilde iki ayrı yerden 0-20 cm derinlikten alınan toprak numunelerinde çalışmalar yapılmıştır» Çalışmanın materyal ve yöntem bölümünde bölgenin genel özellikleri, örneklerin alındıkları yerler ve denemenin kurulması açıklanmış olup devamında toprak analiz yöntemleri izah edilmiştir. Sonuç ve tartışma bölümünde araştırma konusu toprak örneklerinin fiziksel ve kimyasal analiz sonuçları değerlendirilmiş olup yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda elde edilen bulgular aşağıda sırasıyla özetlenmiştir. ihtiyaçları oranında kireç uygulanan asit toprakların pH değerlerinde önemli değişiklikler meydana gelmiştir» Kireçleme ile toprakların pH lan yükselmiştir» Her iki toprak örneğinin pH düzeyleri nötr seviyelerine ulaşmıştır. 2-îhtiyaçlar ı oranında kireç uygulanan E»sit toprakların % saturasyon değerlerinde % 5-8 oranında yükselmeler meydana gelmiş olduğu, toprakların bünyesinde ise bir değişiklik olmadığı tespit edilmiştir» 3-thtiyaçları oranında kireç uygulanan asit toprakların X porozite değerlerinde % 25 civarında artışlar tespit edilmiştir»
