Özet
Bu tezin amacı, Kur'ân-ı Kerim'de ve temel Hadîs kitaplarındaki peygamberlerle ilgili rivayetleri incelemektir. Daha sonra bu rivayetleri, ilgili şerhler ışığında yorumlamaya çalışmaktır. Söz konusu rivayetler bir araya getirildiğinde tezimiz, bir giriş ve üç bölümden oluşturuldu. Bu amaçla giriş bölümünde, peygamberlik müessesesine genel bir bakış yapılarak peygamberlik kavramı üzerinde duruldu. Peygamberlere olan ihtiyaç, peygamberlerin dereceleri ve her millete peygamber gönderilmesi gibi konular işlenmeye çalışıldı. Birinci bölümde, peygamberlerin görevleri, peygamberlere insanüstü sıfatlar verilmesinin yanlışlığı ve Hz. Peygamber'in (s.a.s.) diğer peygamberler arasındaki konumu ele alındı. Bu husus, önce Kur'ân'da geçtiği şekliyle işlendi. Daha sonra meleklerin, diğer peygamberlerin ve bizzat Hz. Peygamber'in konuyla ilgili ifadeleri incelenmeye çalışıldı. İkinci bölüm, üç kısımda işlendi. Peygamberlerin fizîkî ve ahlâkî özellikleri ile toplumsal rolleri ayet ve hadislerle incelenmeye çalışıldı. Allah ve Rasûlü'nün hiçbir gayeye matuf olmaksızın söz söylemeyeceğinden hareketle üçüncü bölümde, geçmiş peygamber ve ümmetlerinin zikrediliş sebepleri olan; muhatapların ibret almalarını sağlamak, tevhid inancını güçlendirmek ve peygamberlerin kaynak ve misyon birliğine vurgu yapma üzerinde duruldu.

The aim of this thesis was to investigate the narrations about prophets in the Holy Quran. These reports were then explained in the light of other commentaries. When the reports from the Quran are brought together, this thesis is composed of three sections. In the introduction section, concentrating on prohpethood, there is a general view on the prophets. Topics such as the need for prophets, levels of prophets, and all populations receiving prophets are discussed. The mistake of attributing superhuman features to the prophets, and the position of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) among the prophets was discussed in the first section. This issue was first discussed as it is presented in the Holy Quran. Then, expressions of the angels, other prophets, and Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) himself were reviewed. The second section was discussed under three sub-headings. The physical and moral features of the prophets were investigated in the light of Quranic verses and hadith. Starting from the point that Allah and his Prophet will not speak without a solid aim, reasons of mentioning past prophets and populations in the Quran such as, allowing addressees for taking lessons, strengthening the belief of monotheism, and stressing the unity of prophets with regard to their sources and mission, was mentioned in the third section.
