Özet

Genel olarak gelişim kuramcıları çocukluk yıllarından sonra gelişimin en önemli olduğu dönemin ergenlik yılları olduğu üzerinde birleşmektedirler. Günümüz de bilgisayar teknolojisinden sonra gelen cep telefonu teknolojisi, iletişim teknolojileri içinde en fazla gelişme gösteren mobil iletişim biçimi olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ergenlerde sosyal kaygı, utangaçlık ve problemli mobil telefon kullanımı arasındaki ilişkinin incelemesidir. Bu çalışmaya, 2013-2014 öğretim yılında İstanbul Başakşehir Anadolu Lisesi, 10. Sınıf'ta öğrenim gören öğrencilerinin tümü dâhil edilmiş, içerme ölçütlerine uyan 512 öğrencilik gruba sosyodemografik form, Problemli Telefon Kullanımı Ölçeği, Utangaçlık Ölçeği ve Ergenlerde Sosyal Kaygı Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. 239'u erkek, 261' kız toplam 500 öğrencinin sonucu geçerli kabul edilmiştir. Yapılan çalışma da ergenlerin mobil telefonu kullanım önceliklerin de sosyal paylaşımın (facebook, twitter) ilk sırada, doğrudan arama yapma, SMS gibi iletişim yöntemlerinin ikinci plan da olduğu belirlenmiştir. Erkek öğrenciler ikinci öncelik olarak oyunu tanımlamışlardır. Problemli Telefon Kullanımı Ölçeği sonuçları cinsiyetler arası, sınıf tekrarı olup olmaması, ebeveyn ile birlikte yaşama durumundan etkilenmediği ancak aile geliri düşük olanlarda ve sosyal paylaşımı daha fazla kullananlarda yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Korelasyon analizlerinde her iki cinsiyette de utangaçlık skorları problemli telefon kullanımı ile ilişkili bulunurken, sosyal anksiyete ve yakın arkadaş sayısı ilişkili bulunmamıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; öğrenciler arasın da mobil telefon kullanımı oldukça yaygındır. Utangaçlık düzeyinin ve sosyal paylaşım sitelerini kullanımın utangaçlıkla ilişkili olduğu ancak doğrudan sosyal kaygının problemli telefon bağımlılığı ile ilişkili olmadığı saptanmıştır. Bu sonuçlardan ergenlerin mobil telefon kullanımı ile ilgili risk altında olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.

Generally , the theoreticians agree with the idea of that after the childhood, the most significant tperiod for human development isadolescence period. Today, mobile phone technology which came out after the computer technology is the most developed one among the means of communication technology. The purpose of this study conducted is to evaluate the relationship between the usage of mobile phone leading psychological problems and social anxiety, shyness in adolescents. In the period of 2013 and 2014, the students in tenth grades at the Basaksehir Anotolian High School are included to this research. The sample group containing 515 students has been observed after the experiment of thatsociodemographic form, the scale of problematical usage of mobile phones, the scale of shyness and the social anxiety in adolescents had been implemented. The results of 500 students, 239 of which are men, 261 of which are women, were considered as acceptable for the experiment. It is observed in this study that social networking like facebook and twitter, is the front reason of the usage of mobile phone among adolescents. As communication means direct calls and exchanging sms message are the runner-up in this regard. With regards to the results according to gender analysis, the first reason group for the phone usage is quite similar between men and women while the second cause for phone usage are pretty different from each other for different gender groups. Mobil phone over-use with teenagers isn't very uncommon and isn't always related to the facts of having to repeat a class at school or the gender of the teen or having tol ive with parents. In fact these numbers are high rated level with children whose parents live on a low income. Some statistics also show that with each gender over use of mobile phones was associated with being shy and there for less social values appear and so it effects the teen from making enough close friends. It can be said, according to the outcome of this study, that problematical mobile phone addiction is in particular related to shyness. Despite the fact that there is no manifest correlation, there is a kind of relationship between two factors. When the potential factors are analyzed there is no apparent difference between gender groups. According to the data reached, usage of mobile phones are quite common among students. Moreover the level of shyness and the usage of the webpages of social networking are in relation with shyness. On the other hand, there is no evidence that direct social anxiety influences the problematic mobile phones addiction. From the conclusions mentioned above, it can be inferred that adolescents using the mobile phone are under risk of non-socialization.
