Özet
Bilimin boyut değiştirmesiyle birlikte insanların ihtiyaçları değişmekte, önceki çağlarda yaşayan insanların hayaline gelmeyecek gelişmeler, keşifler ve icatlar bile içinde bulunduğumuz teknoloji çağında yetersiz görülerek yeni teknolojiler araştırılmaktadır. Bu yeni teknolojilerin temeli de nanoteknoloji olarak tanımlanmış ve günümüzün yeni keşfi olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Nanoteknoloji işletmeler için verimli bir tarla olarak telakki edilmiş ve işletmelerin yatırım çalışmaları bu teknolojiye odaklanmıştır. Piyasayı ele geçirmek, değer ve kârı maksimize etmek, ekonomik ve politik bir güç kazanmak için gerek devletler gerekse işletmeler yapmış oldukları Ar-Ge yatırımlarıyla bu olguyu biran önce elde etmeye çalışmaktadırlar. Bu nedenle çalışmada son derece önemli olan nanoteknoloji yatırımlarının imalat işletmelerinin finansal performansına etkisi araştırılmış ve Borsa İstanbul'da yer alan ve nanoteknoloji yatırımları yapan işletmeler üzerine çeşitli finansal ve ekonometrik analizler uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde nanoteknolojik çalışmalar sonucu elde edilen ürünlerin maliyetlerinin düştüğü, kalitesinin yükseldiği dolayısıyla satışlarının ve kârlarının arttığı ve tasarruf sağlayarak enerji verimliliğine neden olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca işletmelerin yapmış oldukları yatırımlarla hem geçmiş yıllara oranla hem de nanoteknoloji yatırımı yapmayan işletmelere göre daha başarılı performans sergilediği ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra TOPSIS analizi neticesinde işletmelerin en başarılı oldukları yılların nanoteknolojik ürünlerle piyasaya girdikleri yıllar olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Dolayısıyla bu tür çalışmaların ve yatırımların gerek işletmeler açısından gerekse ülkeler açısından ne denli önemli olduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır.

Together with the changes within the sciences, people's needs change, and new technologies are being investigated with the notion that the developments, discoveries and inventions—which the people living in ancient ages cannot dream of—are observed to be insufficient. The basis of this new technology is defined as the nanotechnology and has emerged as the new discovery of today's world. Nanotechnology is considered as an efficient field for businesses and business investment interests have focused on this technology. To seize market, maximize value and profit, and gain economic and political power, both states and businesses have tried to achieve this phenomenon with their R&D investments. Therefore, in this study, the impact of nanotechnology investments on the financial performance of manufacture enterprises was investigated, and various financial and econometric analysis was applied to the companies that invested nanotechnology enterprises in BIST. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the costs of the products obtained as a result of nanotechnology studies fell, the quality increased and thereby sales and profits increased, and that nanotechnology studies caused energy efficiency by saving. In addition, through the investments, the businesses have been more successful when compared to previous years and to those which had no nano-technological investments. Additionally, as a result of TOPSIS analysis, it was concluded that the most successful business year in which they enter the market was the period with products of nanotechnology. Therefore, it emerges how important this kind of work and investment is for both businesses and countries.
