Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı; etkili okul kavramı bağlamında öğrencilerin akademik başarısı üzerinde etkili olan öğrenci, öğretmen, aile özelliklerine ve evde sahip olunan olanaklara ilişkin faktörleri saptamak ve bu faktörlerin okulda alınan eğitim kararlarıyla ilişkisini belirlemektir. Bu araştırmada, okulun kendi özeliklerini dikkate alarak etkinliklerini düzenlemesi gerekliliği tartışılmaktadır. Araştırmanın nicel boyutu için korelasyonel bir araştırma tasarlanmış, nitel boyutu için ise betimsel bir yol izlenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında Hatay ilinde bulunan bir okuldaki 4, 5, 6. ve 7. sınıf öğrencileri, öğretmenleri ve okul yöneticileri oluşturmaktadır. Etkili Okul Öğrenci Anketi, Etkili Okul Öğretmen Anketi, yöneticilerin görüşlerini almak üzere Etkili Okul Yönetici Görüşme Formu oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmanın nicel boyutunda elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde hiyerarşik çoklu regresyon analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci amacından okulöncesi eğitimin, öğrencinin annesinin eğitim durumunun, evde edebi eserlerin olmasının, sahip olunan kitap sayısının, öğretmen branşının, öğretmen yaşının, öğretmenin eğitim durumunun, derse hazırlık amaçlı öğretme etkinliklerine ayrılan zamanın, ders materyallerinin hazırlanmasını ve kullanımını planlamak için öğretmenlerin bir araya gelme sıklığının akademik başarıyı yordadığı görülmektedir. Araştırmanın ikinci amacı çerçevesinde okul yöneticileri; okumaya ayrılan zamanın, okulöncesi eğitim almanın, ailenin eğitim düzeyinin, ekonomik durumunun, çalışma durumunun, öğrencinin kendisine ait çalışma masasının, çalışma odasının, bilgisayarın, okuma kitaplarının olması durumlarının öğrencinin akademik başarısını arttıracağını ifade etmektedirler. Okul yöneticileri öğretmene ilişkin faktörlerden ise; öğretmenin eğitim düzeyinin, yaşının, branşının, öğretim etkinliklerinde öğretmenlerin bilgisayar kullanmalarının ve diğer öğretmenlerle bir araya gelme sıklığının öğrencinin akademik başarısını artıracağını belirtmektedirler. Araştırmanın üçüncü amacı çerçevesinde ise, okulun okulöncesi eğitimi yaygınlaştırmaya ve sahip olunan eğitim kaynaklarının önemine yönelik herhangi bir çalışmasına rastlanmamıştır. Ancak okulun aile ve öğretmen eğitimine yönelik politikalar uyguladığı görülmüştür.

The objective of this study is to determine the elements having an effect on the academic success of the students in accordance with the qualities of the students, teachers and the families, and also, to determine the elements related to the resources and the opportunities which are present at home and to specify the connection of these elements with the educational resolutions made at school in the context of efficient school concept. In this research, it is argued that how necessary it is to organise activities by taking the school's own features into consideration. For the quantitative extent of the research, a correlational study has been designed and for the qualitative extent, a descriptive way has been followed. The study group for this research is composed of the administrators, the teachers and 4th, 5th , 6th and 7th grade students of a school located in Hatay in 2013-2014 school year. Efficient School Student Survey, Efficient School Teacher Survey and for the opinion of the administrators Efficient School Administrator Interview Form has been created. In the analysis of the data gathered in the quantitative extent of the study, the method of Hierarchical Multiple Regression has been used. As a part of the first objective of the research, it's been observed that pre-school education, educational background of the student's mother, presence of literary works at home, number of the books owned, branch of the teacher, age of the teacher, educational background of the teacher, the time spent on the teaching activities aiming to be prepared for the lesson and the frequency of the conventions to plan preparation and application of lesson materials determine the academic success. As a part of the second objective of the research, the administrators state that time spent on reading, having pre-school education, educational background, economic condition and working condition of the family, presence of a study table, study room, a computer, and readers belonging to the studentwill increase the academic success of the student. Considering the elements related to teachers, administrators state that educationallevel, age, and branch of the teacher, teacher's using computer in teaching activities and the frequency of the conventions with other teachers will increase the academic success. As a part of the third objective of the research, no practice related to the extension of pre-school education and importance of the educational resources possessed has been encountered. However, it has been observed that the school implements a family and teacher education policy.
