Özet

This thesis is aimed at a comprehension of Michael Foucault as a thinker of bodyrather more than a thinker of power. Here we are arguing the relation between subjectivity andcorporeity in Foucault. In his work, subjectivity is constructed through practices of power whichdiscipline and regulate the body. The subjectivation of the subject relies on the functioning ofpower structures which surround the body. The subject assumes these power relations initially asa bodily being. The subordination of the mind presumes the subordination of the body. Thus wehave to probe into the particular structure of this specific tie between the body and the mind.Foucault criticizes the phenomenological approach based on the principle of intentionalitybetween things and perception. The assumption that consciousness and subject are ?given? is asproblematic as the assumption that body and perception are given. In order to understand theconstitution of the subject, Foucault analyses the relations of power such as medicine, sexualityand knowledge without which we can not reflect on humanity and philosophy. Foucault'sproposal is to reverse the constitution of power - which we can philosophically comprehend onlythrough onthology- and explain the transformation of human being into a subject through theresistance of the body against exercises of power. Özet (Çeviri)

Cette thèse vise à considérer Foucault plutôt comme un penseur du corps qu'unpenseur du pouvoir. On débat la relation entre la corporalité et la subjectivité chez Foucault. ChezFoucault l?assujettissement s?accomplit à travers les techniques du pouvoir qui disciplinent etcorrigent les corps. Le sujet obéissant, l?individu assujetti à des ordres se trouvent d?abordentièrement enveloppés dans le corps. Le sujet assume avant tout ces relations de pouvoir,comme des étants corporels. La subordination de l?âme suppose d?emblée celle du corps. Il fautnous enquérir après à la nature exacte de ce rapport spécifique entre l?âme et le corps. Foucaultcritique l'approche phénoménologique qui se constitue sur le principe d'intentionnalité entre laperception et les choses, en prouvant qu'il est impossible de considérer les choses en soi. Demême qu'il est problématique d'accepter le sujet et la conscience comme“donation”, il est aussiproblématique de considérer le corps et la perception comme“donation”. Afin d'établir cettethéorie, Foucault analyse les relations de pouvoir comme la médecine, la sexualité et le savoirsans lesquelles on ne pourrait imaginer ni l'humanité ni la philosophie. La proposition de Foucaultde devenir un sujet en renversant la balance du pouvoir ne peut se concevoir philosophiquementsans une ontologie car la résistance du corps ne peut s?expliquer que par une interprétation del?être du corps.
