Özet
Araştırmanın amacı, Trabzon halkının ev sahipliği yaptığı XI. Avrupa Gençlik Olimpik Oyunları (11th Europen Youth Olympic Festival-EYOF)'na ilişkin tutumlarının belirlenmesidir. Bu araştırmada betimsel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma Trabzon il merkezinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evreni 396 646 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Ölçek, araştırmacı tarafından Trabzon il merkezinde yaşayan 18 yaş üstü, gönüllü 489 bireye, EYOF etkinliğinden sonra yüz yüze uygulanmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen“Spor Etkinlikleri Etkisi Ölçeği (SEEÖ)”ile kişisel bilgi formundan oluşan veri toplama aracında beşli likert tipi derecelendirme ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ölçme aracında, konumlandırma, sportif sermaye ve yatırım, sosyo-kültürel gelişme, insan kaynakları ve sporda sürdürülebilirlik alt boyutlarından oluşan 36 madde yer almıştır. Katılımcıların cinsiyete göre görüşleri arasında fark olup olmadığı ilişkisiz t testi ile test edilmiştir. Katılımcıların yaş, eğitim, meslek, gelir, spora katılım ve etkinliğe katılım değişkenlerine göre görüşleri arasında fark olup olmadığı verilerin dağılımı homojen ise tek yönlü varyans analizi ile homojen değilse Kruskall Wallis analizi ile test edilmiştir. Kruskall Wallis testi ile farklılık gösterdiği saptanan gruplardan, farklılığı yaratan grubu bulmak için Mann Whitney-U testi uygulanmıştır. Tek yönlü varyans analizi ile farklılık gösterdiği bulunan gruplardan, farklılığı yaratan grubu bulmak için LSD testi uygulanmıştır. Trabzon halkının ev sahipliği yaptığı XI. Avrupa Gençlik Olimpik Oyunlarının etkinliği hakkındaki düşüncelerinin iyi seviyede olduğu, diğer bir deyişle etkinliğin etkileri konusunda olumlu düşündükleri saptanmıştır. Katılımcıların görüşlerinin genel ortalaması (x=4,08) düzeyindedir. Alt boyutlara bakıldığında en düşük tutum puanının sportif yatırım boyutunda (x=3,93±,862), en yüksek tutum puanın ise sosyo-kültürel boyutunda (x=4,21±,673) olduğu saptamıştır. XI. Avrupa Gençlik Olimpik Oyunları'nın sportif yatırım ve sermaye, konumlandırma, insan kaynakları, sosyokültürel ve sporda sürdürülebilirlik alt boyutlarında Trabzon şehrine olumlu etki yaptığı saptanmıştır. Modern çağda spor etkinliklerine ev sahipliği yapmak için gösterilen çabaların bir ürünü olarak Trabzon'da gerçekleşen XI. Avrupa Gençlik Olimpik Oyunlarının, aynı zamanda, post-modernizm (modern sonrası) kavramının birçok yönüyle de bağdaştığı gözlemlenmiştir. Kısaca, çalışmanın alt boyutlarından da anlaşıldığı üzere; ekonomik gelişme, kentsel yenileme üzerine odaklandığı kadar tüketim ve eğlenceyi de içeren bir 'girişimci kent' olarak Trabzon'un rolü ve Trabzon halkının çoğunlukla olumlu görüşleri, Oyunların post-modern perspektif yoluyla küresel çerçevesini destekler niteliktedir.

The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude of Trabzon residents regarding the XI. European Youth Olympic Festival-EYOF hosted by Trabzon. Relational screening model was used among descriptive research methods in this survey. The survey was conducted in the city center of Trabzon. Population of the survey is 396 646.“Scale of Impact of Sports Events (SISE)”, developed by the researcher, and personal information form was used as the instrument for data collection. The scale was applied to face-to-face interviews of 489 individuals, who were older than 18 and were living in the city center of Trabzon. The interviews were conducted after the EYOF events. A 5-point Likert item was used as a measurement instrument. There were 36 items in the measurement scale including sub-dimensions of positioning, sportive capital and investment, socio-cultural development, human resources and sustainability in sports. The issue regarding differences in opinions of the participants in terms of gender was tested by a t test. The issue whether there are differences in the opinions of the participants in terms of age, education, occupation, income, sport participation and attendance at the activity was tested by a one-way analysis of variance if the distribution of data was homogenous while a Kruskall-Wallis analysis was used if the distribution of data was not homogenous. In order to find the group forming the difference among the groups that were identified to have differences by Kruskall-Wallis test, the Mann Whitney-U test was used. In order to identify the group forming the difference among groups showing the difference by one-way analysis of variance, an LSD evaluation has been imposed. In summary it can be seen that the opinions of Trabzon residents were at an affirmative level regarding the XI. European Youth Olympic Festival hosted by Trabzon General average of the opinions of participants was in the level of (x=4.08). When the sub dimensions are considered, the lowest attitude point was in parameter of sportive investment with (χ=3.93±.862), and the highest attitude point was in socio-cultural parameter (χ=4.21±.673). The data presented in this study shows that the XI. European Youth Olympic Festival positively affected city of Trabzon in all of the relevant parameters such as sportive investment and capital, positioning, human resources, socio-cultural and sustainability in sports. It was also observed that the XI European Youth Olympic Festival in Trabzon fit many of the aspects of post-modernism as it applies to the hosting of sports events in the modern era. The global framework of the games through the post-modern perspective, Trabzon's role as an“entrepreneurial city”, the concern with entertainment and consumption as well as the focus on economic development and urban renewal support this contention.
