-232- SUMMARY It was a miracle that the Turkish Nation arisen onto the stage of history without being destroyed. We say the reasons like these ;Using both spoken forms and written forms, they depended on their culture, and they transfered their cul ture to the new genaration with their poets. The customs that our fathers lived thausandsof years ago survived either a bit of changing from geographical reasons or staying the same. In the past the names and beautifulness mentioned and satirized by our poets, are talked about by our folk poets today. The people m Anatolia still live the same values which are being is respectful to their Angestors, mournning, giving something to a poor person, or talking about braveness as the people in Orhun. We see the dirge tradation among the people, be longed too Bozoks of Ognz, who lived in villages m Yozgat. These tradati- ons are the people wearing m black, crying like wolves, ser- vising cooked food and mourning for 40 days in the mourning home. The words have been used bestly as weapons. BOth the sentences and the words among the sentences have been filled with enthusiasm. Our woman has cried as in the proworb,“Who--233- ever goes to the wedding, that one cries, and whoever goes to the mourning house, that one dances. This showes how an unedu cated Turkish Woman is sensitive. The women dirges in the erea of Yozgat during the times of being sad. The dirged women are invited to dirge by the mourning hosts. Dor mgthe wedding the parents of bride are cried by the dirged women. The dirges around Yozgat have been composed. Some of dirges are anonymous. The folk songs m Yoz gat differ from dirges. The dirges known as legends are sold m the fair by our folk poets. The subjectes of death, seperat ion, flood earthquake and being without a child have been examined m the dirges of Yozgat as the other Turks ”region. Mostly the subjects of death and absence from home have been talked abaut. In dirges it was talked about goodness, not badness. The new genaration will learn about their Angestors" cul ture and tradation by using their ideas in cleverly. At the begimngjwe only thought of dirges both in Yozgat and other Turkish States, but at the end, we decided that it will be usefulness to touch on all the dirges in Anatolia. Because these kinds of studies will be appraised as our culture duty.
