Özet
Tezimiz giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde, araştırmanın konusu, önemi, amacı, sınırları, kaynakları ve metodu hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde, helâl, haram, kerâhiyet, istihsân, hazr, ibâha, tayyib, necis gibi kavramlar tahlil edilmiştir. İslâm'da helâl ve haramın yeri, Kur'an-ı Kerim'de helâl-haram, Sünnette helâl-haram, diğer dinlerde, Yahudilik ve Hristiyanlıkta, Mekke Müşriklerinde helâl-haram konusu üzerinde durulmuştur. Helâllik ve haramlığın tespitine yardımcı olan önemli ölçüler ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde, diğer mezheplerin görüşlerine yer vermekle beraber daha çok tezimizde esas aldığımız Hanefi mezhebinde helâl olan hayvanlar, yiyecekler, içecekler, bitkiler, haram olan hayvanlar, yiyecekler, içecekler, bitkiler ve bunların şüpheli olanları incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, güncel konular ile istihâle, istihlâk gibi hususlara açıklık getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Jelâtin, karmin, koşineal, şellak, emülgatörler, gıda katkı maddeleri, içeceklerden alkol, bira, kımız, kefir, boza ve ilaçlardaki alkol, helâl sertifika, tavuk ve diğer hayvanların beslenmesi, kesimi ve sonrasıyla alakalı problemler, GDO gibi konular değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç, kaynaklar ve eklerle tezimiz tamamlanmıştır.

The thesis is composed of three chapters, which follow the introductory section. The introduction gives information about the background, significance, aim, limitations, references, and method of the study. In the first chapter, such concepts as halal, haram, mahruh, istihsan, ibaha, tayyeb, najs are analyzed. Additionally, the place of halal and haram in Islam, the Qur'an and Sunnah, as well as the notions of halal and haram in other religions such as Judaism, Christianity and polytheism in the pre-Islamic era Meccan society are explained. The criteria for determining what is halal or haram are also discussed in this chapter. The second chapter gives a detailed description of halal versus haram animals, foods, drinks, and plants according to the Hanafi sect of Islam, which is the main concern of the present study. Nevertheless, the stances of the other Islamic sects on the same issue are also given. In the third chapter, current topics and the issues of istihalah and istihlak are explained. In this respect, current debates on gelatin, carmine, cochineal, shellac, emulsifiers, food additives, alcohol, beer, koumiss, kefir, zythum, medicinal alcohol, halal certification, the feeding, slaughter and processing of chicken and other animals, and finally GMO are examined in an evaluative manner. The thesis ends with the conclusion part, references and appendices
