Özet
Amaç: Neuman Sistemler Modeli'ne temellendirilmiş Depresyonla Başa Çıkma Programı'nın depresyon tanılı bireylerin başa çıkma stratejileri, öz saygı ve depresyon düzeylerine etkisini saptamaktır. Yöntem: Araştırma ön-test son-test düzeninde tek körlü randomize kontrollü deneysel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 43 katılımcı (girişim-24 ve kontrol-19) oluşturmuştur. İlk karşılaşmada her iki gruba ölçüm araçlarının ön testi uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubuna bir ay sonra son test uygulanmıştır. Girişim grubuna bir ay süren program uygulanmış ve hemen ardından son test yapılmıştır. Son testten iki ay sonra izlem verileri toplanmıştır. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Beck Depresyon Ölçeği, Rosenberg Öz Saygı ölçeği, Başa Çıkma Stratejileri Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler karışık desenler için (2×3 split-plot) iki faktörlü varyans analizi (ileri analiz için Bonferroni testi) ve Spearman Korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Yapılan analizler sonucunda Neuman Sistemler Modeli'ne temellendirilmiş Depresyonla Başa Çıkma Programı'nın depresyon ve öz saygı düzeylerinde ve başa çıkma stratejilerinde (sorun çözme, sosyal destek arama, kaçınma) zaman ve grup ortak etkisinin anlamlı olduğu; girişim grubunda depresyon düzeyindeki azalmanın öz saygı düzeyindeki yükselme ve kaçınma stratejisi kullanma düzeyindeki azalma ile ilişkili olduğu bulunmuştur (p

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Coping with Depression Program based on Neuman's Systems Model on the coping strategies, self esteem, and depression levels of the depression-diagnosed patients. Method: The research was a pretest-posttest designed, single-blind, randomized controlled, and experimental study. The sample of the study consisted of 43 participants (intervention-24 and control-19). The pretest of the measurement tools was conducted on both groups in the first encounter. Posttest was conducted on the control group a month later. A monthly program was conducted on the intervention group and posttest was carried out right after it. The monitoring data were collected two months after the posttest. Data were collected by using Personal Information Form, Beck's Depression Inventory, Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale, and the Coping Strategies Scale. Data were evaluated by two-factor variance analysis for the mixed designs (2x3 split-plot) (advanced analysis Bonferroni Test) and Spearman Correlation Analysis. Results: As a result of the analyses carried out, in depression and self-esteem levels and coping strategies (solving problem, seeking social support, avoidance) of Coping with Depression Program based on Neuman's Systems Model, it was found out that time and group common effect was meaningful; decrease in the depression level of the intervention group correlated with the increase in the level of self-esteem and the decrease in the level of avoidance strategy (p
