ABSTRACT Master's Thesis THE EFFECTS OF THE CULTURAL STRUCTURE ON MUSIC EDUCATION IN A SOCIETY Nermin TOL Selçuk University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Music Education Supervisor : Doç. M. Salih ERGAN 1994, Page: 146 Jury: On this essay“the effects of the cultural structure on music edu cation in a society”is studied in details. We applied to many books about the cultural and the social li vings of societies, the education, the systems of education, the cultural structure of the Turkish society and the music education. In addition to this the ideas of different people are taken. On our essay the subjects particularly studied are; Cultural chan ges, the cultural effectiuness, the ideas of Atatürk about culture and uimusic, the national culture intelligence, the differences within the so cieties, the music education system in Turkey and in other countries, the musical living in Europe and in the other countries around Turkey and the effects of the religious culture.
