Özet
Bu çalışmada okuduğunu anlamayı geliştirmede kullanılan strateji, yöntem ve tekniklerin okuduğunu anlama başarısına etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma meta-analiz yöntemi kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya 2000-2016 yılları arasında okuduğunu anlamayı geliştirmede kullanılan strateji, yöntem ve tekniklerin okuduğunu anlamaya etkisini test eden deneysel çalışmalar dâhil edilmiştir. Başlangıçta dâhil edilme kriterlerini sağlayan yüksek lisans tezi, doktora tezi ve makale olmak üzere 37 adet çalışmaya yer verilmiştir. Yayın yanlılığına neden olan çalışmaların çıkarılmasından sonra 19 adet çalışma meta-analiz yöntemi kullanılarak birleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre okuduğunu anlama strateji, yöntem ve tekniklerine ait genel etki büyüklüğü 0,896 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu değer Cohen's ölçütlerine göre geniş bir etki büyüklüğüdür. Çalışmaların uygulandığı yayın türüne göre (yüksek lisans tezi, doktora tezi, makale) en büyük etkinin 1,042 (geniş düzey) ile makale türünde olduğu bulunmuştur. Doktora tezlerinin etki büyüklüğü 0,975 (geniş düzey) ve yüksek lisans tezlerinin etki büyüklüğü 0,636 (orta düzey) olarak bulunmuştur.

The thesis aims to measure the effects of the strategies, methods and techniques that is used in improving the comprehension of reading over the success of reading comprehension. The research is conducted through meta-analysis. The experimental studies are included wich test the effect of understanding the reading in the strategies, methods and techniques that is used in improving the comprehension of reading between 2000-2016. Thirty-seven pieces of article, master and PhD theses are examined which meet the criteria of to be included at first. After the elimination of some research due to the bias nineteen pieces of research is merged via meta-analysis. According to the result of the study, the growth of mainstream/general impact of the strategies, methods and techniques in reading comprehension is measured by 0,896. The outcome of the study, in respect to Cohen standards, is a wide growth impact. As regards to the type of academic studies (article, master and PhD theses) it is the article which has the greatest effect. Meanwhile, the growth of impact of the PhD theses is of 0,975 value and MA theses is 0,636 respectively.
