Özet
Mahkeme kayıtları olan Şer'iye Sicilleri ait olduğu dönemin siyasi ve sosyal yapısını, kültürünü ve ekonomik yapısını yansıtmaktadır. Osmanlı tarihi ve şehir tarihçiliğinin gelişmesinde önemli katkılar yapmaktadır. Çalışmamız Türk tarihi ve kültürü bakımından önemli bir yere sahip olan Şer'iyye Sicillerinden H. 992-994/1003-1004 M. 1584-1586/1594-1595 tarihlerini kapsayan Gaziantep'te kaydedilen Şer'i mahkeme kayıtlarını içermektedir. 42 Numaralı Ayntab Şer'iyye Sicili Defteri toplamda 450 sayfa olup, defterin 1-112 sayfa aralıkları çalışılmıştır. Sicilde alacak verecek davaları, hırsızlık, vasi tayini, evlilik, miras, nafaka, boşanma, gibi belgeler karışık halde toplam 451 adet belge bulunmaktadır. Bunların yanı sıra merkezden gönderilen berat, ferman gibi önemli konuları ihtiva eden belgeler ile hüccet, temessük ve tezkire kayıtları bulunmaktadır. Bu belgeler defter doğrultusunda dönemin Gaziantep'inin sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik ve idari durumu ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Transkripsiyonu yapılan belgelere tek tek özet yazılarak okuyucuya kolaylık sağlanmıştır.

The court records of Şer'iye Courts (Şeri'iye Records) reflects the political and social structure, cultural heritage and the economic structure of its period. This work contributes a great deal to the development of Ottoman history and urban history. Our work covers the Şeri'iye Records of Ayıntab city for the period of H. 992-994/1003-1004 M. 1584-1586/1594-1595, which has a significant place in the Turkish history and its culture. Numbered 42 Ayntab Şer'iyye Records Book has a total of 450 pages and the pages of 1-112 have been throughly studied. In this book contained Kadı records, there are a total of 457 documents for various cases, such as the debt and liabilities issues, robbery, appointment of guardianship, marriage, inheritance, alimony, and divorce. In addition to this, in the book, there are other documents sent from the central government containing topics such as berat (military rating), imperial orders from sultan as well as records of deeds, obligation for payments, and collection of biographies. These documents, with the help of the court records book, attempted to reveal the social, cultural, economic and administrative status of the period in Ayntab province. There is a summary for each transcripted documents in order to facilitate undertanding for the readers.
