Özet

Edebiyat ile tarih arasında sıkı bir bağ vardır. Yazarlar tarihte yaşanan olayları kendi hayal süzgeçlerinden geçirerek yeniden kurgularlar. Türk tarihine bakıldığında Türklerin birçok harbe girdiği görülecektir. Nitekim Türklerin yakın tarihinde yaşanan önemli olaylardan birisi de Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı'dır. Kıbrıs'ta yaşayan Türklere yapılan zulüm ve katliamları durdurmak, barış ve özgürlüğü tesis etmek üzere düzenlenen bu harekât Türk harp edebiyatında şiir, roman, hikâye, tiyatro, günlük, hatıra, menkıbe, mektup gibi türlere aksetmiştir. Bu çalışmada sözü edilen türlerden biri olan mektuplar üzerinde durulacaktır. Bununla birlikte harbe ilişkin duygu, düşünce ve hayaller gerek cephede bulunan askerler gerekse cephe gerisinde bulunan vatandaşlar tarafından mektuplar aracılığıyla dile getirilmiştir. Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı mektuplarını harp edebiyatı metodolojisi içinde inceleyen herhangi bir ilmî çalışma mevcut değildir. İşte“Kıbrıs Barış Harekâtı Mektuplarının Türk Harp Edebiyatı Bağlamında İncelenmesi”adlı çalışma ile bu alandaki boşluk doldurulmaya çalışılacaktır. Mektupların tespiti için 20 Temmuz 1974 (harekâtın ilk günü) ile 13 Şubat 1975 Kıbrıs Türk Federe Devleti'nin kuruluşuna kadar geçen zaman zarfında dönemin matbuatı incelenmiştir. Yapılan bu incelemeler neticesinde elde edilen mektuplar tasnif edilerek şekil ve yapı, muhteva, dil ve üslup bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Mektuplara genel bakıldığında harekâtın sebebi olarak Rumların, Kıbrıs Türklerine yaptıkları baskı, zulüm ve katliamlar gösterilir. Ayrıca söz konusu mektuplarda harekâtın tasviri, sonucu, önemi ve gerek cephede gerekse cephe gerisinde bulunanların harekât ile ilgili duygu, düşünce ve hayalleri yer almıştır.

There is a strong relation between literature and history. Writers reconstruct the events that happened in history by straining them through their dreams. If we examine Turkish history, we can see that Turks went into many wars. Hence, one of the most important events in the recent history of Turks is Cyprus Peace Operation. This operation, which aimed to stop the atrocities and massacres towards the Turks living in Cyprus, is reflected upon the genres in Turkish Literature of War such as poetry, novel, story, drama, diary, memoir, saga, and letter. In this study, we will put emphasis on letters which is one of the genres mentioned above. In addition to this, feelings, thoughts and dreams related to the war were put into words through letters by both soldiers in the front and civilians in the hinterland. There isn't any other study examining Cyprus Peace Operation letters in the literature of war methodology. Here, the study“Analyzing Cyprus Peace Operation letters in the context of Turkish literature of war.”will try to cover the blank in this field. The press of the era between 20th of July, 1974 (first day of the operation) and 13th of February, 1975 (founding of the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus) was inspected in order to detect the letters. The letters, which were acquired as a result of these inspections, were classified and examined in the context of their form and structure, content, language and tone. When we look at the letters in general, it is mentioned that the reason for this operation is the Greek Cypriot oppressions, atrocities and massacres towards the Turkish Cypriots. Besides, the description, the result and the importance of the operation and feelings, thoughts and dreams about the war of both soldiers in the front and civilians in the hinterland appeared in the mentioned letters.
