Özet
Birçok şirket, kendi kurumsal bilgilerine erişmek amacıyla bilgisayar uygulamalarından ve sistemlerinden yararlanarak belgelerini depolamaktadır. Depolanan belge miktarı artık oldukça yüksek rakamlara ulaşmıştır. Şirketler, kurumsal bilgilere kolaylıkla erişmek, araştırmak ve belgelerin içeriğini bilmek için kurumsal belgelerin içeriğine yönelik erişimi düzenleyen ve belgeleri özetleyen güçlü araçlara ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Metin madenciliği teknolojisi, şirketleri ve rakipleri hakkındaki ilgili bilgileri otomatik olarak okumak ve belgelere erişmek suretiyle şirketlere, karar verme ve rekabet analizi konularında yardımcı olmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı; kurumlardaki metin madenciliği uygulamalarının genel çerçevesini çizmek ve bu uygulamaların bir özetini sunmaktır. Ayrıca metin madenciliğinin Türkiye'deki özel sektörde, kurumsal belge yönetimi uygulamalarında ve kurumsal belgelere erişim amacıyla kullanılmasından elde edilen geri bildirimlerin değerlendirilmesi ve Türkiye'deki özel sektör işletmelerinde uygulanmasının avantajlarını belirlemektir. Bu tez, metin madenciliği kullanan işletmelerin kendi belgelerine erişimi ile çalışan becerileri, erişilebilir teknoloji ve diğer faktörler arasındaki ilişkiyi belirleyen teorik yapının ortaya konulması girişimidir. Bu çalışma yalnızca metin madenciliği teknolojisini kullanan işletmelerin kendi kurumsal belgelerine erişimi değerlendirmekle kalmamakta, aynı zamanda metin madenciliği teknolojisi sayesinde Türkiye'deki özel sektör işletmelerinde hizmet kalitesinin en etkin şekilde artırılması yöntemlerinin geliştirilmesine yönelik yolların belirlenmesini ve bu konuda tespit ve değerlendirmeler yapmayı amaçlamaktadır. Metin madenciliği yöntem ve teknikleri ile Türkiye'de özel sektör performansının artırılmasına ve kurumsal belgelere erişimin nasıl geliştirilebileceğine dair öneri ve sonuçlar sunulmuştur.

In order to access their corporate data, many companies store their documents using computer software and applications. As a matter of fact, the amount of documents stored has reached a very tremendous amounts. In order to access and search for the corporate documents easily and to analyze the content of these documents, companies need powerful tools that can analyze, arrange, summarize and access the content of these documents. Text mining technology assists companies in decision-making and competitive analysis by automatically discovering, accessing and generating new information through deep analysis and examination of large amounts of textual data. The purpose of this study is to draw a general framework of text mining applications, present a summary of these applications and to evaluate the feedback achieved from the Turkish private sector employees regarding corporate document management applications used in their companies. In addition to assessing the use of these applications in accessing corporate documents and to review the advantages and challenges of their use in the private sector companies in Turkey. This thesis is an effort to reveal the theoretical structure that determines the relationship between the access to corporate documents using text mining technology and employee skills, accessible technology and other factors. This study not only evaluates the access to corporate documents using text mining technology, but also aims to determine the related technological means needed for developing the“quality of services”of the companies in the Turkish private sector. The study contains findings and suggestions related to the usage and developments of text mining methods and techniques in accessing corporate documents and to the ways of improving the performance of the private sector in Turkey.
