Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; Doğu il merkezlerinde görev yapan öğretmenlerin boş zamanlarında yaptıkları sportif faaliyetlerin türlerini/ faaliyetlere katılım düzeylerini, spor yapma nedenlerini ve spor yapılan alanlar ile spor yapmayanların yapmama nedenlerinin belirlenmesiydi. Araştırma denekleri, ülkemizin Doğu Bölgesinde görev yapan, 11 il merkezinden seçilen 720 bay ve 299 bayan olmak üzere toplam 1019 öğretmenden oluşmuştur. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin boş zamanlarında en fazla yaptıkları rekreasyonel faaliyetler sırasıyla;“Televizyon izleme”(%95.7),“Müzik dinleme”(%93.3) ve“Kitap, gazete ve dergi okuma”(%89.2) idi. Belirli düzeylerde spor yapma faaliyetine katılım; 18 faaliyet arasında 11. sırayı almıştır, öğretmenlerin (%23.3)' ü, fiziksel sağlıklarını korumak ve devamlılığını arzuladıkları için spor yaptıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Spor yapanlar arasında, en fazla yapılan spor türü (%53.7) ile futboldur. Spor yapmak için en fazla kullanılan tesis ise özel tesisler (%31.9) olmuştur. Gençlik ve Spor Müdürlüğüne ait tesislerin kullanılması,.ancak 4. sırayı alabilmiştir. Spor yapmayanların spor yapmama nedenlerinin başında, spor yapacak uygun bir yer (tesis) bulunamaması ve uygun organizasyonun olmayışı gelmektedir. Yapılan araştırmanın bulgularından çıkarılabilecek en önemli sonuç; öğretmenlerin rekreatif nitelikli faaliyetlere çok az katıldıklarıdır. The purpose of this study was to determine the kinds of sports done in spare-time by teachers working in the selected-cities in the East, their participation level into the activites, the sports-areas in the region, and, moreover, to find out the reasons why same do ör not exercise. The subjects of the study were 720 males and 299 females, to tally 1019 teachers working in the East, selected from 11 city-centres. The first three activities in the succession of the recreational activities mostly done in their spare-time by teachers participating the research was“Watching T:V (95.7 %)”“Listening to Music (93.3 %)”, and“Reading Books, Newspapers and Magazines (89.2 %)”Among 18 activities, exercising in any way has been in the eleventh sequence. 23.3 % of the teachers have told that they have been exercising in order to keep and continue their physical health. Football, with a rate of 53.7 %, has the first place among the sportspeople. the sports- institutions mostly used (31.9 %) are private ones. The usage of the instituons belonging to the Youth and Sports Management only was in the fourth sequence. The majör reason way some do not exercise was that they could not find a suitable place to do sports and that there is no appropriate organization. The most important conclusion that can be drawn from the data of the study carried out is that teachers involve th@ms@lve§ very littlt in the. recreative activites. it hâs been understood from the teachers * expressions that the49 participation ratio to recrational activites will increase with suitable institutions and organizations.
