Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı Ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin Coğrafya dersi kaygı ve tutum puanları arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Ayrıca bu çalışmada öğrencilerin coğrafya dersine yönelik kaygı ve tutum puanları; başarı düzeyi, cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi ve okul türü değişkenlerine göre incelenmiştir. İlişkisel tarama modelinin kullanıldığı bu araştırmanın evrenini Karabük ilinde bulunan ortaöğretim öğrencileri; örneklemini ise 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılı Karabük il merkezinde yer alan 8 farklı ortaöğretim türünden toplam 2854 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak“Coğrafya Dersi Tutum Ölçeği”ve“Coğrafya Dersi Kaygı Ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin coğrafya dersine yönelik kaygı ve tutum düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkilerin belirlenmesinde korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin coğrafya dersine yönelik kaygı ve tutumlarının“cinsiyet”değişkenine göre analizinde“t-testi”ile,“sınıf düzeyi”,“başarı algısı”ve“okul türü”değişkenine göre analizinde ise“Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA)”kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin coğrafya dersi kaygı ve tutum puanları arasında orta düzeyde, negatif ve anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin coğrafya dersine ilişkin kaygı düzeylerinin düşük, buna karşın tutum düzeylerinin orta seviyenin üstünde olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencilerin cinsiyetleri, başarı düzeyleri, öğrenim gördükleri sınıf düzeyi ve okul türü ile coğrafya tutum puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Araştırmada öğrencilerin başarı düzeyleri arttıkça coğrafya dersi kaygı puanlarının azaldığı belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada öğrencilerin coğrafya dersi kaygı puanları ile cinsiyetleri ve sınıf düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farkın olmadığı bulunmuştur. Buna karşılık öğrencilerin coğrafya dersine ilişkin kaygı düzeyleri okul türü değişkenine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermiştir.

The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between high school students' anxiety and attitude scores of Geography lesson. In this study, students' anxiety and attitude scores towards geography lesson were examined according to their variables of achievement level, gender, class level and school type. The relational screening model was used in this study. The universe of this research is the high school students in Karabuk; The sample is composed of 2854 students from 8 different high school types located in Karabuk province center of the 2016-2017 academic year.“Geography Lesson Attitude Scale”and“Geography Lesson Anxiety Scale”were used as data collection tools in the study. Correlation analysis was performed to determine the relationships between the anxiety and attitude levels of the high school students participating in the research. According to the“sex”variable the“t-test”,“class level”,“perception of success”and according to the“school type”variable“One-way ANOVA”were used in the analysis of the anxiety and attitudes of the high school students towards the geography lesson. It was determined that there was a moderate, negative and meaningful relation between geography lesson anxiety and attitude scores of high school students in the study. Furthermore, it is concluded that high school students' level of anxiety regarding the geography course is low, whereas attitude levels are above the middle level. There was a significant difference between the students' gender, achievement level, grade level and school type and geographical attitude point averages. It has been determined that as the success level of the students increases, the geography lesson anxiety scores decrease. It was found that there was no meaningful difference between students' anxiety scores and sexes and class levels in the study. On the other hand, the anxiety level of the students related to the geography course showed a significant difference according to the school type variable.
