This study aimed to explore Turkish business expatriates management and how Turkish expatriates adapted cross-cultural business management in the Philippines business setting on cross-cultural adjustments along with the challenges and coping mechanisms, in order to establish a stable business in the Philippines. The principal instrument of the study is Interview Schedule which consisted of forty-six (46) items, using open-ended question, intended to gather primary data from the personal accounts of the 10 Turkish business expatriates. Findings based on qualitative study revealed Anticipatory adjustments were more of Personal (study: Filipino culture; English language) and Company (conduct trainings on: managerial; cross-cultural; English language). In country adjustments on Work factors involved: fit between job function and responsibility; determined scope of work/responsibilities; created business network; performance standards and expectations; verbal communications; work-problem strategies. Adjustments on General non-work factors were particularly on: Filipino culture and environment; living independently; living conditions in the Philippines; and facilitating the adjustment of spouse. Individual factors were more on: personal perception; adapting Filipinos cultural practices and problem solving strategy and approach. The Socio-cultural Adjustments comprised the following: adjustments in terms of work (performance standards and expectations, supervisory responsibilities, current job function); adjustments in terms of interactions (with Filipinos outside of your work, day-to-day basis, communicate/speak, social gathering); General adjustments (Turkish Foods, Health care services, Entertainment/recreational, Living conditions, the cost of living; personal necessities). In terms of challenges, the Individual challenges category were more on: stress, self-esteem, mental well- being, communication, developing relationship, slow government process/decision making, work attitude of Filipino, generation gap, and double standard. Work challenges were on: communication, business behavior and approaches, negotiating, supply, relationship with colleagues, time and scheduling, hierarchy, status, and gender. Whereas the External Challenges were mainly on: bureaucratic system, rules and regulations, corruption, human resource management, technology, evolving preferences of customers, economic crisis, and security. With respect to the coping mechanisms, the study revealed that a business should start with a small investment. Likewise, bringing a technical team, on hiring a local manager, hire through an agency and establishment of a good managerial system are also good options. In running the business the following interventions surfaced: have a local business partner, work hard, be versatile, patience, humble, ask feedback, give examples, purchase supply from local and international market and apply positive and negative reinforcements for punctuality. A business development framework on cross-cultural adaptability was then formulated.
