SUMMARY In this study, effects of“The Recent Tendencies”on the Contemporary Turkish Painting Art were researched. The evolution of the Turkish Painting Art has been discussed from past to present. In the study, as a first subject, miniature art known the beginning of the Turkish Painting Art, has been carried out. The beginning evolution and some important artists of miniature art were established. Afterwards, the increasing relations with the West and their effects were examined. Turkish Painting Art that had been quite developed by the Republican period; the artists became more effective by being gathered under the names of“unions”and“groups”. Those unions and groups presented new styles to the Turkish Painting Art. The educational associations and schools contributed to the formation of Turkish Painting Art were written about and the list consisted of them was given. The factors under The Recent Tendencies were the main subject of the study and their effect on the Contemporary Turkish Painting Art, were pointed out. Some of today's artists who have roles on The Recent Tendencies; their arts, subjects and materials in works, activities and awards were introduced. One work belongs to each artist was interpreted.
