Özet
ABSTRACT In this study we have analysed the development of the economic changes after 1980's which includes economic policy changes from“import substitution”to“export oriented”First, before analysing the economic growth policies in Turkey, we will try to give some background knowledge about economic policies that Turkey was following before 1980 and the after results. A country can use“Import substitution”or“Export oriented”growth policies while it is preparing itself for economic growth. Before 1980 Turkey was using“import substitution”economic growth policy but after 1980 Turkey started to use a different economic policy, ie“Export oriented”economic growth policy. To improve the economic development government presented the January 24'th stabilization programme and started to use it. The first condition for improving the economy is development on the industrial scale. Therefor the development of industrial facilities was steeped up. The result was noticeable increase in Turkey's economic structure. Finally we have analysed the development of economic growth in Turkey after the policy changes in 1980.
