Özet
Türkiye'de ve dünyada yükseköğretimde okuyan öğrenci ailelerinin sosyo-ekonomik yapılarının akademik başarıları üzerinde etkili bir faktör olduğu, bu durumun eğitim sistemindeki eşitsizlikleri azaltmak ve kaliteyi artırmak için geliştirilecek kısa ve uzun dönem politikalar için veri sağlayabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmada yükseköğretimde okuyan öğrenci ailelerinin sosyo-ekonomik düzeylerini tespit etmek ve yükseköğretimde okuyan öğrencilerin harcamalarını ölçmek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, 2016/2017 öğretim yılı Şırnak Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim gören lisans ve ön lisans öğrencilerini kapsamaktadır. 2016/2017 eğitim-öğretim yılında Şırnak Üniversitesi'nde toplam 2696 öğrenci öğrenim görmektedir. Veri toplama aracı olarak geliştirilen anketle 276'sı lisans ve 321'i ön lisans olmak üzere toplam 597 öğrenciden veri alınmış ve analiz edilerek yorumlanmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencinin sosyo-ekonomik özellikleri olarak; anne-babanın eğitim durumu, kardeş sayısı, okuyan kardeş sayısı, ailenin geliri, mezun olduğu lise türü, üniversiteye girmeden önce almış olduğu eğitim desteği ve eğitim için ödemiş olduğu ücretlerdir. Çalışma sonucunda, Şırnak Üniversitesi'nde okuyan öğrenci ailelerinin sosyo-ekonomik düzeylerinin düşük olduğu, öğrencilerin üniversiteyi tercih nedenlerinin genel olarak istihdam edilebilme olasılığı ve gelecek kaygısı olduğu, öğrencilerin genel olarak istedikleri bölümde okumadığı söylenilebilir.

Turkey and that the look higher education in the students' families in the world socio-economic structures is an important factor on academic achievement, reduce inequalities in this case the education system and is expected to provide the data for short- and long-term policy will be developed to improve quality. In this study, it was aimed to determine the socio-economic levels of the students studying in higher education and to measure the expenditures of students studying in higher education. The study covers the undergraduate and associate degree students of Şırnak University in the academic year of 2016/2017. In 2016/2017 academic year, a total of 2696 students are studying at Şırnak University. The questionnaire was developed as a data collection tool and data was collected and analyzed from a total of 597 students. In the study as socio-economic characteristics of the student; the educational status of the parents, the number of siblings, the number of siblings studying, the income of the family, the type of high school it has graduated from, the education support it received before entering the university and the wages it paid for education. As a result of the study, it can be said that the socio-economic levels of the students of Şırnak University are low, the reasons for the preference of the university are the possibility of being employed in general and the anxiety of the future, the students do not generally read the section they want.
