Özet
Temettuat defterlerinin Osmanlı tarihi çalışmaları içerisindeki yeri şüphesiz yadsınamayacak derecede önemlidir. Bu kapsamda Kalkan kazası temettuat defterleri kullanılarak hazırlanan çalışmanın özgün olmasının yanında yöre tarihine ışık tutması da beklenmektedir. Temettuat defterleri ilk defa 12 Ocak 1840 tarihli bir talimatname ile, muhassıl nezaretinde tutulmaya başlanmıştır. Temettuat defterleri kazanın demografik yapısı, etnik yapısı, fertlerin menkul ve gayr-ı menkul kaynakları, yıllık kazancı, vergi yükü ve mesleği hakkında bilgi vermektedir. Ayrıca yetiştirilen tarımsal ürün ve beslenen hayvanlar hakkında da bu defterlerden bilgi edinmek mümkündür. Çalışmanın konusu olan Kalkan Kazası, bu dönemde Konya Eyaleti'nin Teke Sancağı'na bağlı olup farklı yıllarda kayıt altına alınmış iki temettuat defterine sahiptir. Bu defterlerden ilki ML.VRD.TMT.d. kodu ile 1840, ikinci ise 1844/45 yıllarına aittir. Her iki defterin çeviri yazısı yapılarak hazırlanan çalışma, giriş bölümü de dahil olmak üzere toplam dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde daha çok temettuat kelimesinin anlamı, kapsamı ve uygulanması gibi konulardan bahsedilirken Osmanlı Devleti'nin daha önce uyguladığı vergi sistemine de kısaca değinilmiştir. Ek olarak kazanın coğrafi yapısı, fiziki durumu ve tarihinden de bu bölümde bahsedilmiştir. Birinci bölümde kazanın idari durumundan ve köylerin sosyal-demografik yapısından bahsedilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ekonomik yapısından ve geçim kaynaklarından, üçüncü bölümde ise kaza genelinden toplanan vergi çeşitlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Transkribe edilen defterlerdeki veriler değerlendirilirken ayrıntılı bir şekilde karşılaştırılmıştır. Yapılan karşılaştırma, kaza genelindeki her köyün yıllara göre gösterdiği değişimleri, istatistiksel olarak yansıtmamızı da kolaylaştırılmıştır. Ayrıca kazanın iki farklı deftere sahip olması çalışmamızı tablo ve grafik bakımından zenginleştirmemize de olanak sağlamıştır.

In the field of history, any detailed academic study relevant to Kalkan and surroundings has not been done previously. This study worked on has the feature of being first with regard to being illuminated of region history.Enlightening, of region history is aimed with Kalkan Temettuat registers that is the most important source in this context. Temettuat registers was started to record by tax collectors with instructions dated 12'th January 1840 for the first time. These registers give information about demographic structure and ethnicity of the town, people's movable and immovable resorcues, annual earnings, tax burden and jobs. Also, it is possible to get information about grown agricultural products and fed animals from these registers. Township of Kalkan that is the subject of the study belongs to Teke in Konya shire in this term and it has two Temettuat registers which are recorded in different years. One of these registers belongs to 1840 with ML. VRD.TMT.d code and the other belongs to 1844-45 The study has been prepared with translations of two Temettuat registers. It consists of four parts including introduction. In introductory part, while it is mostly mentioned the meaning of Temettuat, its extent and practice, also it is shortly referred to tax system which Ottoman Empired im plemented throughout history. Additionally, it is mentioned geographical structure, physical situation and history of the town. At the first section, it is referred to administrative situation of the township and social- demographic structures of villages. It is mentioned economical structure and means of living at the second chapter; types of tax that is collected across the township at the third part. Two different resources have been compared in detail while being evaluated transcribed data This comparison has made us easy to reflect statistically the changes by years of each village across the township. Furthermore, having two different Temettuat registers of the township has provided us to enrich the study in terms of table and graphic.
