Özet
Tanımlayıcı nitelikte planlanan bu çalışma; hemşirelerin toplumsal cinsiyet algısının; lezbiyen ve geylere yönelik tutumlarına etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, lezbiyen ve gey bireylere yönelik yapılan bilimsel çalışmaların toplumda farkındalığın artmasını sağlayabilir. Çalışmanın evrenini, Uludağ Üniversitesi Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi'nde görev yapan 743 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Evreni belli örneklem formülü ile en az 197 hemşirenin araştırmaya alınması gerektiği belirlenmiştir. Ancak, kayıp veriler olabileceği düşünülerek, örneklemin %50 fazlası ele alınarak 297 hemşire ile çalışma tamamlanmıştır Veriler, demografik özelliklere yönelik anket formu ve bireylerin eşcinsellere yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla "Lezbiyen ve Geylere Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği' ve toplumsal cinsiyet algısını belirlemek için 'Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algısı Ölçeği ' kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, sayı-yüzdelik hesaplamaları, Kruskal-Wallis, Mann Whitney U testi ve Pearson Korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların %80,8'inin gey ve lezbiyen tanıdığının olmadığı, %45,1'i gey ve lezbiyenlerle arkadaşlık etmeyeceğini, %46,5'i gey ve lezbiyenlerle konuşulan yer ve zaman göre rahat konuşmasının değişebileceğini belirtmiş, % 67,3'ünün ailesinin gey ve lezbiyenlere yönelik tutumlarını olumsuz, %42,1'i gey/lezbiyen bireye bakım vermemiş, %64,3'ü bakım verme fikrine 'Benim için diğer bireylere bakım vermekten farklı değil' yanıtını vermiştir. Katılımcıların LGYT ortalaması 32±8,82 ve TCAÖ puan ortalaması 94±19,06 olarak bulunmuştur. Katılımcıların LGYTÖ ve TCAÖ arasında pozitif yönde zayıf bir ilişki olduğu bulunmuştur ( r = 459; p=0,000).

This descriptive study was carried out to determine the effect of nurses' perception of gender on their attitudes towards lesbians and gays. As a result of the study, it was concluded that gender perception positively affects the attitudes towards lesbians and gays. The increase of scientific studies on lesbians and gays may improve awareness in society. The population of the study consisted of 743 nurses working at Uludag University Health Research and Application Center. It was determined that at least 197 nurses should be included in the study with a certain sample formula. However, 50% surplus of the sample was taken into consideration and the study was completed with 297 nurses. Data were collected using a questionnaire form for demographic characteristics and ire Attitude Scale for Lesbians and Gays and to determine gender perception. Gender Perception Scale. In the evaluation of the data, number-percentage calculations Kruskal-Wallis, Mann Whitney U test and Pearson Correlation test were used. 80.8% of respondents answered that they had no gay and lesbian acquaintance, 45.1% said that they would not make friends with gays and lesbians, 46.5% stated that how comfortable they can talk with gays and lesbians may change according to the time and place, 67.3% of the respondents' families had negative attitudes towards gay and lesbians, 42.1% did not provide care for gays/lesbians, 64.3% responded the idea of caregiving with 'It's no different than giving care to other individuals for me'. The mean score of the participants' Attitudes Towards Lesbian and Gays was 32±8.82 and the Gender Perception score was 94±19.06. The age range of the participants, marital status, the study year did not cause a significant difference in their attitudes towards lesbians and gays (p> 0.05).
