Özet
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı; Kayseri'deki özel liselerde yürütülen değerler eğitimi faaliyetlerini amaç, muhteva, yöntem ve kullanılan araç-gereçler açısından incelemek; varsa sorunları tespit edip çözüm yolları hakkında önerilerde bulunmaktır. Bu araştırmada görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Kolay anlaşılır, tek amaçlı, kaynak kişinin verebileceği verileri içeren ve yansız niteliklere sahip sorularla görüşme kılavuzu hazırlanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler cihaz ile kayıt altına alınmış, daha sonra metin şekline dönüştürülerek kalıcılığı sağlanmıştır. Araştırmanın geçerlilik ve güvenilirliğini sağlamak için üç öğretmen ve beş öğrenci ile ön görüşme yapılarak soruların anlaşılırlığı ile süre durumu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın evreni Kayseri ilindeki Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı bütün özel liselerdir. Öncelikle amaçlı örneklem olarak seçilen özel liselerin son sınıflarında okuyan öğrencilerden random yöntemi ile seçilmiş 32 öğrenci ve bu okullarda uygulanan değerler eğitimi faaliyetlerinden sorumlu 13 öğretmen ile mülakat yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan bütün öğrenci ve öğretmenler tarafından, değerler eğitiminin özel liselere devam eden öğrenciler için ihtiyaç olduğu belirtilmiştir. Değerler eğitimi faaliyetlerinin gerekliliği düşüncesinin çoğunlukta olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Değerler eğitimi faaliyetlerinde anlatım, soru-cevap, gezi-gözlem gibi yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Gezi-gözlem yöntemine daha çok yer vermenin öğrencilerin yararına olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Yazılı-basılı araç gereçler, teknolojik ve görsel materyaller kullanılmıştır. Değerler eğitimi faaliyetleri genellikle gözlem yolu ile değerlendirilmektedir. Değerlendirme sonrasında öğrencilere geri bildirim yapılmasının faydalı olacağı tahmin edilmektedir. Değerler eğitimi faaliyetlerinde sevgi, saygı, hoşgörü, yardımlaşma, Kuran, sünnet gibi değerler öne çıkarılmıştır. Değerler eğitimi faaliyetlerinde görev yapan öğretmenlerin yeterli alan bilgisine sahip olmalarının istenen hedeflere ulaşmada katkısının olacağı düşünülmektedir. Öğrenci ve öğretmenlerin çoğu değerler eğitimi faaliyetlerinde eğitim ortamının fiziki imkânlar açısından büyük eksiklikler olmadığını belirtmişler. Değerler eğitimi faaliyetleri esnasında öğrencilerin ilgilerini çekebilecek şekilde eğitim yapılmasının, aktif olarak katılımlarının sağlanmasının verimin artmasında etkili olacağı düşünülmektedir.

The aim of this research is to examine the practices of values education conducted at private high schools in Kayseri in terms of purposes, contents, methods and equipment and tools used and to offer recommendations regarding solutions by ascertaining problematics if there are any. In this research, interview method has been practiced. The interview guideline has been prepared through questions written in a lucid style, having a single-minded purpose and an objective existence and including the data that the person of source could provide. The obtained data has been recorded in a device and later it has been converted into text, thereby achieving its permanence. The clarity of the questions along with the status of time has been specified via making a pre-interview with three teachers and five students in order to establish the validity and reliability of the research. Sampling of the research is the all private high schools in Kayseri affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. Primarily, an interview has been made with thirty two students selected by the method of random from the students who are in the last grade of private high schools selected as a purposeful sampling; and thirteen teachers who are responsible for the values education activities carried out at these schools. It has been stated by all the teachers and students participated in the research that values education is an essential for the students attending at private high schools. It has been understood that the opinion that values education activities are necessary has prevailed. Methods such as question and answer, field trip and lecturing have been used within the values education activities. It is contemplated that it could be beneficial to the students to include field trip method to an increasing extent. Written and printed equipment and tools along with technological and visual materials have been used. Values education activities are mainly evaluated through observational methodologies. It has been anticipated that providing the students with feedbacks after evaluation will be beneficial. Values such as love, respect, tolerance, assistance and solidarity, Qur'an and Sunnah have been forwarded I n values education activities. It is contemplated that teachers' who work on values education activities having professional knowledge will make contributions to achieving the desired goals. Most of the teachers and students have stated that educational environment where values education activities are conducted has not major deficiencies in terms of physical facilities. During values education activities, it is contemplated that providing the students with education that could attract their attention along with encouraging them to actively engage in the activities would be very fruitful in increasing the efficiency.
