Özet
Total diz protezi(TDP)uygulanan hastaların cerrahi girişim sonrası bakım gereksinimleri sonlanmamakta, taburculuk süresi ve sonrasında da devam etmektedir. Hastalara kapsamlı bir taburculuk eğitimi verildiğinde, uygulanan cerrahi girişimin başarısı artmakta, iyileşme süreci olumlu yönde etkilenmekte ve taburculuk sonrası görülebilecek komplikasyonlar önlenebilmekte veya azaltılabilmektedir. Araştırmada, TDP uygulanan hastalara verilen cerrahi girişim sonrası günlük yaşam aktiviteleri ve egzersizlerini içeren video destekli eğitimin, diz işlevine ve yaşam kalitesine etkisini belirlemek amaçlandı. Randomize kontrollü deneysel bu araştırmanın örneklemini Temmuz 2018- Mart 2019 tarihleri arasında bir üniversite hastanesinin ortopedi ve travmatoloji kliniğine yatan 44 elektif TDP uygulanan hastalar oluşturdu. Çalışma grubuna araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan video destekli eğitim verilirken; kontrol grubuna rutin hemşirelik bakımı uygulandı. Cerrahi girişim öncesi, sonrası 1.ay ve 3. ay diz işlevleri Western Ontario ve McMaster Üniversiteleri Osteoartrit İndeksi (WOMAC) kullanılarak; yaşam kalitesi ise Kısa Form 36 Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği (SF-36) ile değerlendirildi. Verilerin analizinde, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, ki-kare, bağımsız gruplarda t-testi; tekrarlı ölçümlerde varyans analizi; çoklu karşılaştırmalarda Contrast test kullanıldı. Care needs of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients do not end in the postoperative period, but they continue during and after discharge. When patients are given a comprehensive discharge training, the success of surgical intervention increases, the healing process is positively affected and the complications that may occur after discharge can be prevented or minimized. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of video-assisted training, which was given to TKA patients and included postoperative daily living activities and exercises, on their knee function and quality of life. The sample of this randomized controlled experimental study consisted of 44 elective TKA patients admitted to the orthopedic and traumatology department of a university hospital between July 2018 and March 2019. While the experimental group was given video-assisted training prepared by the researchers, the control group received routine nursing care.Knee functions before, 1 month and 3 months after surgery were measured using the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), and quality of life was measured with Short Form-36 Scale (SF-36).
