Özet
Kentler; onları bir araya getiren politik, toplumsal ve psikolojik katmanları ile birlikte birer yerleşim alanıdır ve dolayısıyla bir mesken olarak farklı deneyimler, farklı var olma eşiklerini barındıran çeşitlilikler ortaya koymaktadırlar. Hem özne, hem nesne olarak kentler, çeşitliliklerini araştıran, toplayan, koruyan, paylaşan ve üreten kent anlatılarına ihtiyaç duymaktadırlar. Bu bağlamda“Çağdaş Müzecilik”anlayışı ile birlikte ortaya çıkan müzecilik çalışmaları ve bu anlayışla birlikte üretilen“kent müzeleri”, her geçen gün değişen ve yenilenen kentsel anıları taze tutmayı, unutulan değerleri hatırlatmayı ve bireyler arasındaki iletişimi canlandırmayı hedefleyerek, kentteki yaşam kalitesini yükseltmeyi ve yeni paylaşımlar / karşılaşmalar / üretim mekânları yaratmayı amaçlayan“kurumsallaşmış kent anlatıları”olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu anlamda, kent müzelerini kurumsal bir kent anlatısı olarak inşa eden geri plan, bu tezin çıkış noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Kentlerin kendilerine özgü karakterleri vardır. Bu nedenle her kentin ihtiyaçlarına yanıt verecek, kurgusunu kentin ve kentlinin özelliklerine göre dönüştürebilecek bir çağdaş kent müzesi modelinin tasarımı, tezin esas aldığı problemi ortaya koymaktadır. Tezin amacı, son yüzyılda müze tartışmalarının değerlendirmesi ile birlikte kent müzesi kritiğini anlamlı ve kendi temelleri sağlam bir biçimde yapabilmeye yardımcı olabilecek bir altlık ortaya koymaktır. Kent ve toplum üzerinden müze bağlamında sürdürülen araştırmalar ve yapılan tespitler ile birlikte her türlü kültürel ve sanatsal değerin temsil edildiği ve kendini güncelleyebilen çağdaş bir kent müzesi modelinin ortaya koyulabileceği savunulmaktadır. Bu bağlamda,“Yeni Müzecilik”anlayışını özümseyerek, kurumsal ve mekansal olarak içinde bulunduğu koşulları görmezden gelmeyen, toplumuyla birlikte düşünen ve yaşayan kent müzesi anlayışını ortaya koyan bir çağdaş kent müzesi modeli denemesi hedeflenmektedir. Kent ve toplum, birbirini ören kolektif bir ağın ayrılamaz iki temel parçasıdır. Kent müzeleri bu tez kapsamında; kente, topluma ve toplumun ürettiği kültürel donatılara temsiliyet zemini oluşturma ve bu zemini inşa ederken kurumsal varlığını yeni müzeciliğin enstrümanları ile birlikte bağımsız olarak şekillendirme çalışmaları üzerinden ele alınmaktadır. Foucault ve Deleuze'ün son yüzyılda tartıştıkları konuların, açtıkları perspektiflerin ve bu bağlamda müze gibi mekanlar üzerinden yaptıkları değerlendirmelerin, bu yüzyılın toplumsal bağlamlarının okunmasına yardımcı olduğu ve kolaylaştırdığı düşünülmektedir. Bu anlamda tezin çerçevesini oluşturan çağdaş müze perspektifinin tarihsel sürecinin, toplumsal ve mekansal analizinde Foucault ve Deleuze ve Guattari'den yararlanılmaktadır. Foucault, Deleuze ve Guattari felsefesinde üretilen disiplin - denetim toplumu kavramları, müzedeki mekansal karşılıkları, düzen ve hierarşi ilişkileri ile birlikte değerlendirilmektedir. Çağdaş kent müzesinin açılımlarını yaparken, heterotopya, asamblaj (assemblage), birleştirici sentez (conjunctive sentez), rizom (rhizome) gibi kavramların kent müzesinin oluşum süreçlerinin, toplumsal ve mekansal bağlamlarının söküme uğratılmasına yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir. Öncelikle bir kurumsal yapı olarak çağdaş müzeciliğin gelişimi ve çağdaş kent müzesi bağlamında incelenmesi, sonrasında mekansal örnekler üzerinden kuramsal çerçevede kent müzesinin literatür üzerinden tartışılması ve bir model önerisi bu tez çalışmasının yöntemini oluşturmaktadır. Tespitler ve modelin ortaya konulması sonucunda örneklerle de model bir tür okuma ve değerlendirme yöntemi ve altlığı olarak kullanılmaktadır. Uygulama sürecindeki çağdaş kent müzesi örneklerinden, tezde öne sürülen çağdaş kent müzesi modelinde ortaya atılan rizomatik çoklukların (asamblajların), kent müzesinde karşılık bulduğu düşünülen iki güncel örnek olarak Antalya ve İstanbul Kent Müzeleri seçilmiştir. Modelin örneklerle analizinde,“süreç, içerik ve mimari mekan”olarak üç mod ele alınmaktadır. Klasik Müze anlayışından Çağdaş Müze anlayışına doğru evrilen müze kavramının kırılma noktalarının ortaya koyulması ile birlikte tez kapsamında ele alınan kent ve toplum ilişkisi çağdaş kent müzesi bağlamında değerlendirilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Yöntem dahilinde yapılan araştırma ve incelemeler sonucunda,“çağdaş müzecilik”anlayışını özümseyerek, kurumsal ve mekansal olarak içinde bulunduğu koşulları görmezden gelmeyen, toplumuyla birlikte düşünen ve yaşayan kent müzesi anlayışı ve bu anlayışın pratikteki yansımaları analiz edilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda güncel kent müzesi üretimlerinin, teorik olarak bağımsız bir temsil ve üretim aracı olma amacını taşımasına rağmen, pratikte bu amaçları yerine getirirken, klasik müzecilik anlayışında tercih edilen konvansiyonel müze kuruluş süreçleriyle üretilme tehlikesiyle karşı karşıya olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda kent müzesi modeli ile birlikte kurumsal ve mekansal donatıları tartışmaya açılarak; son on yıl içerisinde lineer tarih anlatılı ve seri olarak üretilen kent müzelerine, karşı bir duruş olabileceği ve kent müzesinin var olan ancak güncel durumda değerlendirilemeyen potansiyellerini gerçekleştirebileceği ön görülmektedir.

Cities; are residential areas with political, social and psychological layers that bring them together, and thus, as a dwelling, different experiences have many situations over different ontological thresholds. Cities that serve both subjects and objects need“city descriptions - narratives ”that explore, research, collect, protect, share and produce their ontological diversity. In this context, the museum works that emerged with the understanding of New Museology and the city museums produced with this understanding, aiming to keep the urban memories fresh and changing every day, to remind the forgotten values and and to revive the communication between the individuals and to create new exchanges, they are confronted as“institutionalized city explanations”which is aiming to increase the quality of life in the city and create new shares / encounters / production spaces. Concordantly, the background of the city museums as a corporate urban narrative constitutes the starting point of this thesis. Cities have their own characters. For this reason, the design of a modern urban museum model that can respond to the needs of each city and transform its fiction according to the characteristics of the city and the inhabitants of the city reveals the problem that the thesis is based on. The aim of the thesis is to provide a base which can help to make the basics of the city museum in a meaningful way with the evaluation of museum discussions in the last century. Within the scope of the thesis, it is argued that a contemporary urban museum model, which can represent all kinds of cultural and artistic values and can update itself, can be put forward together with the researches carried out in the context of museums and cities. In this sense, it is aimed to try a modern urban museum model which assimilates the concept of New Museology and does not ignore the conditions in which it is institutionally and spatially, and which reflects the understanding of the city museum together with the society. The city and society are two fundamental parts of a collective network that cannot be separated. In this thesis; the aim is to create a basis for representation of the city, society and the cultural facilities produced by the society and to construct the foundation of the city museum in the context of shaping the institutional existence of the museum independently with the instruments of the new museum understanding. Foucault and Deleuze's discussions over the last century, their perspectives, and their evaluations on places such as museums are thought to help and facilitate the reading of the social contexts of this century. In this sense, Foucault, Deleuze and Guattari are used in the social and spatial analysis of the historical process of the perspective of the contemporary city museum which constitutes the framework of the thesis. The concepts of“discipline”and“control”society produced in the philosophy of Foucault, Deleuze and Guattari are evaluated together with their spatial counterparts, order and hierarchy relations. While making the expansions of modern city museum, it is thought that concepts such as heterotopia, assemblage, conjunctive synthesis and rhizome will help to demolish the social and spatial contexts of urban museum formation processes. First of all, as an institutional structure, the development of contemporary museology and its analysis in the context of the modern city museum, then the spatial examples in the theoretical framework of the city museum over the literature to discuss and a model proposal is the method of this thesis. As a result of the determinations and the expression of the model, the model of the city museum is used as a kind of reading and evaluation method. From the examples of modern city museums in the implementation process, Antalya and Istanbul City Museums were selected as the two contemporary examples of the rizomatic multiplicities (assemblage) proposed in the modern urban museum model proposed in the thesis. In the analysis of the model with examples, three modes are discussed: "process, content and architectural space. The concept of museum evolving from the understanding of classical museum to the concept of contemporary museum, the emergence of breaking points, the relationship between the city and society is tried to be evaluated in the context of the modern city museum. As a result of the researches and investigations carried out within the method, by absorbing the concept of contemporary museology, it does not ignore the conditions in which it exists; The understanding of the city museum which is thinking and living together with its society and its reflections in practice are tried to be analyzed. As a result of the analyzes, although the current urban museum production has the aim of being theoretically independent representation and production vehicle; In practice, it has been observed that it is in danger of being produced by conventional museum establishment processes in classical museology approach while fulfilling these purposes. In this sense, institutional and spatial reinforcements are discussed together with the urban museum model; In the last decade, it is foreseen that the city museums, which can be used as a series of linear history narratives and serial series, may have a stand against them and that the city museum can realize its existing but unimaginable potential.
