Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmada çocuktan ebeveyne öğreterek öğrenme yönteminin Matematik Eğitiminde uygulanabilirliğinin, kullanılışlığının ve etkisinin; ebeveyn, öğretmen, uzman psikolojik danışman ve öğrenci görüşleri doğrultusunda ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılı birinci döneminde, bir ilkokulda 3. Sınıf düzeyinde 2 şubede eğitim gören öğrenciler ve bu şubelerin ebeveynleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel veri toplama teknikleri birlikte kullanılmıştır. Kontrol grubu öğrencileri ev etkinliklerini daha önceden alıştıkları şekilde ev ödevi olarak yaparken, deney grubu öğrencileri haftanın bazı günlerinde ebeveynlere tahta kullanarak konu ya da soruların çözümlerini bir öğretici gibi anlatıp öğretmeye çalışarak yapmışlardır. Araştırmacı tarafından ebeveynlerle seminerler ve süreç hakkında yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılmış, bu çalışmaya ilişkin görüşleri alınmış, günlük tutmaları istenmiş ve elde edilen veriler incelenerek betimlenmiştir. Yine öğretmen gözlemleri incelenip, ebeveynlerin matematiğe yönelik tutumları ve öğrencilerin matematik kaygı durumları istatiksel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Verilerin analiziyle ebeveyn, çocuk ve öğretmenler tarafından Çocuktan Ebeveyne Öğreterek Öğrenme Yöntemi'nin rahatlıkla uygulanabildiği, çocukların matematik kaygı düzeylerini olumlu yönde etkilediği, ebeveyn-öğrenci-öğretmen arasındaki iletişimi ve çocukların özdüzenleme becerilerini kazanma sürecini olumlu yönde etkilediği bulgularına ulaşılmıştır. Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda Çocuktan Ebeveyne Öğreterek Öğrenmenin Matematik Eğitiminde uygulanabilir ve kullanışlı bir yöntem olduğu, 3. sınıf öğrencilerinin bu yönteme uygun ev etkinlikleri ile matematiğe olan kaygılarının azaldığı, bu ev etkinlikleriyle ebeveynler ve çocuklar arasındaki iletişimlerin olumlu yönde etkilendiği, ebeveyn-çocuk-öğretmen işbirliğini artırdığı, çocuklara özdüzenleme becerilerini kazanma sürecinde yardımcı olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Aim : In this study, it is aimed to reveal the applicability, usefulness and effect of learning by teaching from child to the parent method in accordance in mathematics education with the opinions of parents, teachers, psychological counseling and guidance expert and students. Method: The studying group of research consists the 3rd grade level students who are educated at a primary school in the first term of 2018-2019 academic year, and their parent. Qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques were used in the study together. While the control group students were doing their home activities as homework in the way they used to do before, and students of the experimental group were using the board trying to give a lecture or to teach the solution of questions as a tutorial in some days of the week. Face-to-face interviews about the process and seminars were carried out with the parents ,their opinions about this study were taken, they were asked to keep the diary and the results obtained from the data were analyzed and described by the researcher. Yet, observations of the teachers were examined and the attitudes of parents towards mathematics and mathematics anxiety states of the students were analyzed statistically. Findings: With the analysis of data, it has revealed the findings that the Learning by Teaching from Child to the Parent Method could easily apply by parents, children and teachers, and affect the children's math anxiety levels in a positive way, affect the communication between the parent-student-teacher and children who are in the process of gaining their self-regulation skills in a positive way. Conclusion: At the end of research, it has revealed that the learning by teaching from child to parent can be applied as a method and is an useful method, the 3rd grade students' anxiety about home activities and mathematics in this method decreased, the communication between parents and children is affected positively by these household activities, it increased the cooperation of parent-child-teacher and it helped children in the process of gaining their self-regulation skills.
