Özet
Sosyal Bilgiler dersi günümüzde ve gelecekte nesillerin hayat ile bağlantısı için temel derslerden birisidir. Bu dersin aktarımında ise en önemli materyal ders kitaplarıdır. Ders kitapları ise sadece bilgi kaynağı olarak ele alınmamalıdır. Çünkü ders kitaplarının bilgiyi aktarması için diğer unsurlar da vardır. Bu çalışmada ders kitapları eğitsel içerik, görsel tasarım, dil ve anlatım, fiziksel tasarım, ölçme ve değerlendirme yönünden incelenmiştir. Durum çalışma yönteminin kullanıldığı bu nitel çalışmada Ortaokul Sosyal Bilgiler Ders Kitabı öğretmen görüşlerine göre incelenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmada ders kitaplarının incelenmesi için yarı-yapılandırılmış bir görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Bunun sebebi ders kitapları hakkında derinlemesine bilgi almaktır. Araştırmada 2018-2019 yılında yeni Sosyal Bilgiler müfredatına uygun ders kitapları incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme sırasında örneklem olarak 24 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmeniyle görüşülmüştür. Araştırmanın analizi için ise kodlar belirlenmiş ve çeşitli bulgulara ulaşılmıştır. Katılımcıların görüşlerine göre Ortaokul Sosyal Bilgiler ders kitaplarında görsel materyallerin daha da etkinleştirilmesi, ölçme ve değerlendirme çalışmalarının farklılaştırılması gibi bulgulara ulaşılmıştır.

The Social Studies subject is one of the basic subjects for the connection of generations with life in the present and future. Coursebooks are the most important materials in the transmission of this subject. Coursebooks should not be considered only as a source of information. Because there are other elements for the coursebooks to transfer information. In this study, coursebooks are examined in terms of educational content, visual design, language and expression, physical design, assesment and evaluation. In this qualitative study that in using case study method, secondary school social sciences coursebook is examined according to teachers opinions. For examining the coursebooks, a semi-structered interview form was used in this study to get detailed information about coursebooks. In the research, the textbooks which are appropriate for the new Social Studies curriculum were examined in the academic year of 2018-2019. During this study, 24 Social Studies teachers were interviewed as a sample. For the analysis of the research, codes were determined and various findings were figured out. According to the opinions of the participants, some of the findings have been found out in secondary school social studies coursebooks such as further activation of visual materials and differentiation of assessment and evaluation studies.
