Özet
Türkiye'de çocuk edebiyatı alanında yapılan lisansüstü tezleri içerik ve yöntem açısından ele alan bu araştırmanın temel amacı, ilgili alanda lisansüstü tezlerin konu ve yöntem eğilimlerini inceleyip gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalara ışık tutmaktır. Bu araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman inceleme modelinde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 1974-2018 yılları arasında çocuk edebiyatı alanında yayınlanmış 536 yüksek lisans, 84 doktora olmak üzere toplamda 620 tez oluşturmaktadır. Evrenin tamamına ulaşılmak istendiğinden örneklem alma yoluna gidilmemiş; erişime kısıtlı tezler de özet bölümlerindeki verilerle araştırmaya dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmada kullanılan veriler, doküman incelemesi yoluyla elde edilmiş lisansüstü tezlere dayanmaktadır. Derlenen tezler, Microsoft Excel'de oluşturulan veri tabanı üzerinden içerik analizine tabî tutularak frekans ve yüzde oranları hesaplanmış tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Araştırma evrenini oluşturan 620 tezin yöntem ve içeriğine dair yapılan inceleme sonucunda şu temel sonuçlara erişilmiştir: İçerikte en çok yoğunlaşılan konu çocuk edebiyatı ve çocuk eğitimidir. Tezlerde en çok incelenen edebî tür süreli yayınlardır. Okul kademeleri dikkate alındığında ise tezlerde en fazla okul öncesine yönelik çocuk edebiyatı eserleri incelenmiştir. Yöntem açısından tezlerde çeşitli problemlerin olduğu saptanmıştır. Tezlerin önemli bir bölümünde ya yöntem bölümü hiç bulunmamakta ya da tezin yöntemine dair net bilgilere rastlanmamaktadır. Yöntemi belli olan tezlerde en fazla nitel yöntem, model olarak doküman inceleme modeli, veri toplama aracı olarak doküman, veri analiz tekniği olarak da içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırma, çocuk edebiyatı alanında yapılan lisansüstü tezlerin konu ve yöntemsel eğilimlerini ortaya çıkarmasının yanı sıra lisansüstü tezlerde yöntemsel olarak birtakım sorunların var olduğunu göstermiştir. Araştırmanın, çocuk edebiyatı alanında yapılan tezlerin konu ve yöntemsel eğilimlerine ilişkin genel bir bakış açısı sağlayarak alanın geleceğine ve daha sonraki yıllarda yapılacak tez çalışmalarına konu ve yöntemsel açıdan yön vermesi düşünülmektedir.

The basic objective of this study which is to examine postgraduate dissertations carried out in children's literature in Turkey in terms of content and method as well as the subject and method trends of postgraduate dissertations in the relevant field to shed light on future studies. This study was designed as a document analysis model which is one of the qualitative research methods. The population of the research consisted of 620 thesis (536 master's theses and 84 doctorates) published in the field of children's literature during 1974-2018. Since the entire population wanted to be reached, sampling was not carried out, theses restricted to access have been included in the study with the data in the summary sections. The data used in the study are based on graduate theses obtained through document review. The compiled theses are presented as tables with frequency and percentage ratios calculated by subjecting them to content analysis over the database established in Microsoft Excel. As a result of the examination of the methodology and content of 620 theses that make up the study population, the following main conclusions have been reached: Children's literature and children's education are the most concentrated subjects. The most studied literary genres in theses are periodicals. When the school levels are taken into consideration, most of the theses examined children's literature works for the pre-school level. It has been determined that there are various problems in the majority of the theses in terms of method. Most of the theses do not have any method section or there is no clear information about the method used in the thesis. Qualitative method, document analysis model as the model, document as the data collection tool and content analysis technique as the data analysis technique were used in the theses with determined methods. This study has not only revealed the subject and methodological tendencies of postgraduate theses in the field of children's literature but that there are some methodological problems in postgraduate theses as well. It is thought that the study will provide a general perspective on the subject and methodological tendencies of the theses carried out in the field of children's literature and give direction to the future of the field and the thesis studies to be conducted in following years.
