Özet
İnsanlık tarihiyle birlikte başlayan, onun bir parçası olan din ve kutsallık fenomeni ile toplumsallığın tabii bir uzantısı olan güç arayışı ve istihdamı (yönetme; yani Doğu'nun“siyaseti”; Batı'nın“politikası”) olgusu, tarih sahnesinde birbirleriyle daima yakın ilişkiler içerisinde yer almışlardır. Din ile siyaset ilişkisi, zaman ve mekâna göre değişik boyutlar ve biçimlerde tezahür etmiştir.“Aşk-nefret diyalektiği”olarak ortaya çıkan bu ilişki, çoğu zaman barışçı tarzda değil, çatışmacı ve mücadeleci şekilde gelişmiştir. Bu araştırmanın temelini teşkil eden, Hıristiyanlık tarihindeki din-siyaset çatışmasının örnekleri ise, başlangıçtan günümüze oldukça değişik görünümler arz etmiştir. İnsanları ve eşyayı bu dünyada düzene sokmak arzusundaki siyaset ile onları hem bu dünya, hem de öteki dünya mutluluğu için disipline etmek gayretindeki dinin, elbette ki; etkileşiminin olması kaçınılmazdır. Bu etkileşimi çatışmaya dönüştüren şey ise, dinî ve siyasî elitlerin, dinî alan ve siyasî alan çerçevesinde ifade ettikleri ve güç, hâkimiyet ve hegemonya arayışlarıdır. Dinî ve siyasî olanın güç arayışı beraberinde diyalektik tarzda bir döngüyü tarihsel olarak karşımıza çıkarır. Bu diyalektik süreçte bazen dinî olan siyasî olanı kendisine eklemler, çoğu zaman da siyasî olan dinî olanı teo-politik meşruiyet kodlarıyla kendisine bağıl kılar. Öyle görünüyor ki tarihsel süreçlerde din-siyaset alanında yaşanan şey, üleş ve pay sorunudur. Bu çalışmada din-siyaset diyalektiği genel olarak tarihsel çerçevede sunulduktan sonra, Hıristiyan Kutsal Kitap ekseninde bu diyalektik ortaya konulmaya çalışılmaktadır. Bu diyalektik Hz. İsa öncesi güç-iktidar-hegemonya ilişkilerinin Kutsal Kitap ile kutsanması olarak tezahür etmektedir.

The phenomena of religion and holiness, which began with human history, and are the part of it, and of the search for, and employment of power, which are the natural extension of sociality of human being (governing; that is, the siyasah of the Orient, and the politics of the Occident) have been involved in very close relationships on the scene of history. The relationship between religion and politics has manifested in different dimensions and forms according to time and place. This relationship, which emerged as though love-hate relations, did not developed, by and large, in a peaceful manner, but—mostly in a confrontational and combative manner. Hence, the examples of the religious-political conflict in the history of Christianity have formed quite different modes to the present day. It was an inevitable interaction—then, turning to clash—situation, if politics aims at the desire to regulate people and goods in this world, and religion claims to strive for disciplining them for the happiness of this world and the other world. What transforms this interaction into conflict is the expression of religious and political elites in the aim to reach power, domination, and hegemony within the framework of the religious sphere and the political sphere, respectively. The search for power of the religious and the political brings about a dialectical cycle in terms of history. In this dialectical process, the religious sometimes adds and embeds the political to its sphere of authority, and most revealingly, the political power gets the religious / the theological connected to it through theo-political legitimacy codes. It would seem that what happened in the field of religion and politics in the historical processes is the problem of division and share (of power, authority, and rule). This study aims to present the dialectic of religion and politics in historical context; then tris to put forward this dialectical relation in the axis of the Christian Bible. This dialectic, it would seem, is manifested as a sanctification of the power-rule-hegemony relations of the pre-Jesus era through the Biblical canonizing discourses.
